Bummer, but I think you are still legally obligated to drop off 2 whales for the rest of the share.

Regarding distro, when should I start seeing these in the wild? Definitely don't want to miss cans of Ghost Tropic.

Fair enough. That means someone will pour samples of the other shared whalez into vials and Kraj will keep them for me to pickup, right? Right?!?!?

We'll pour you a sample of each and put it in a plastic water bottle - it'll be a cuvee de whale.

Mmmmmm, cuvee de whale (2018), can't wait to give the tasting notes on that one:
"Oddly juicy and malty at the same time for a bourbon-barrel aged coffee NEIPA sour blend. Lacks carb due to being poured into a water bottle and rolled around the room for hours. Can't wait for next month's variant!"

Better hope the bathroom lines aren't long and the person responsible for carrying the bottle impatient....

Cracked a Toro! that I got from Binny's. Canning date 2/22/18.

Almost no carbonation; worse, it tasted strongly of cardboard.

I have 3 more so I'm hoping this is an aberration, but man, this wasn't good. I had this beer via howler last September (aka old brewer) & thought it was above average.

Perhaps I'm getting my "chicken little" on here, but I'm hoping this isn't a harbinger of things to come...

that is disappointing.. Sorry about that! We know there was a couple of undercarbed issues brought to are attention and we replaced cans of toro for them with cans here and had no reports of anything after them coming to swap out. Unfortunately we have none left but I can replace with Ghost.

I hadn't heard any off flavors especially cardboard!

Shoot me a PM if you would like to do something like this. Apologize!

Tell ya what, I'll bring a can in next time I come through & we can crack it...maybe I'm nuts!!

I'm 50/50 on tomorrow, so it might not be long.

The brewery is headed in a bad direction because of one can of beer you’ve had from the new brewer? The beer tasted great on tap so I’m sure it’s due to carb issues in some cans.

I’ve tried all of the beers Nick has made since starting and they have been just as good as the beer FR has put out in the past (if not better).

Let the man swap out your Toro cans and enjoy the Ghost Tropic!

I think he was referring to the 3 remaining cans...

What? He has three remaining cans and @KrajDoesBeer said he will replace them with Ghost Tropic...

I took it as @GuyFawkes saying he was worried the rest of his cans were going to be flat and/or tasting off ... not that he thought that Forbidden Root was going into a downward spiral as a brewery ... :joy:

My apologies if that’s the case! Him saying the old brewers batch was better and hoping it’s not a harbinger of things to come sounded to me like he was talking about the direction of the new brewer...

You’re not alone. I also thought he was talking about the direction FR is heading with the new brewer as he started a new paragraph after talking about the cans.

But on another note Ghost Tropic is tasting insane!
