Did the bottles sell out, or will any be available next Thursday?

Intergalactic Kegger is a great example of what Twin Elephant does best. IPAs and :stuck_out_tongue:ale Ales with an ABV between 6 & 7%.

I think there really should be a separate can sales line versus a draft/growler fill line on release days. The drafts, flights, growlers really seems to slow things up.

with only 2 POS - it'll be time consuming either way. Given how quickly their cans tend to go - 60-90 minutes. Perhaps that may look into opening for can/bottle sales at 11AM instead of their normal opening time. Similar to what Kane does for their more hype beers - that are not quite as hyped that they require a ticket (morning bell vs. mexican brunch)

That's a good point about the POS limitation, perhaps they should have more than two to help move things along in these situations? It did seem that a large portion of the time waiting was for the person who took my order to wait for the POS to be available

I like the early open for just can sales as well!

an extra POS would be nice - not sure the cost related to it. i am sure it's minute but may be a victim of them investing money in other areas as opposed to a new POS when they have such infrequent releases. I think they've only had 7 or 8 release days over the last year. Of course there is also a cost for opening an hour earlier, but that's also an extra hour to generate revenue.

either way, i think we can all agree that we have our fingers crossed that they can move into a place where they can produce 75+ cases of beer at a much more frequent rate with higher limits.

    (place not meaning physical space)

All of the ideas above should be implemented.
    - Open an hour early so there is no conflict with people there for pours.
    - Add card readers so there are 3 or 4 check out lines. These can be hooked up to phones or ipads, no reason not to have more than 2.
If they can't open up early they need to have a separate line for cans/bottles only. It seems like there are 4 or 5 people behind the bar and 1/2 of them are either standing there waiting to get to the tap or waiting for the POS.
It's not rocket science, hopefully TE figures it out as their beers have been really good lately but waiting an hour for a 4 pack is silly when there are easy solutions to greatly reduce the wait time involved.

you're always going to be waiting for an hour -- until they are able to supply as much or more than the demand. it's just the nature of the beast that they will be a line, especially when they have such limited quantities. If they open an hour earlier, the line will just form an hour earlier.

The other option is to do a silent release - such as conclave. Release cans on thursday or friday night with no post and let social media of the customers do the rest.

totally agree on your points though.

Twin Elephant has changed it's growler sales policy. You can buy more than 1 64 OZ growler now. You can buy as many as you want but only 1 of each beer.

I saw they had some new verbiage in last week's newsletter. Are they still pricing at $10 for 32 and $15 for 64? If so, this is pretty huge.

Does Twin Elephant open on Sundays? I know they did some test runs with opening but the web says they don't

They've mostly just been Thursday - Saturday lately. Unfortunately there wasnt a newsletter or an Instagram post this week, the former usually confirms the hours.

They were open on Sundays when first opened. Since they used to run out of beer most Saturdays there was no point in opening on Sunday. They can brew more beer now but decided to open on Thursday instead of Sunday,

For as long as I've been going there, 32oz has been $10. So basically $5 a pint, I think their pints are around $6 iirc, so not a bad deal .
