Revision California Distro (2018)

if you live near there you should grab every bottle (maybe leave 1 or 2) those are trade bait. I live near Sacramento.

 

Battle of the Lords is very nice beer. Super tropical nose and ethereal taste - the sort of taste that dances on the palate (to borrow a wine phrase). It's super fresh and taste right now. Glad I took the detour to pick this up.

 

Anybody in the OC/LA area seen or purchased Mosaic Revenge bombers? It's been at least 3 weeks since the release and haven't seen anything at my locals.
Also, does anybody know if Revision has an updated tap and bottle/can list at the taproom? I know they don't list what on tap as far as their hazy ipa's on their website. It would be nice to see what's on before flying up there to sparks. IG? FB? Or whatever?

Now it lists 7 different NE Hazy IPAs. But no West Coast?

Really I think they don't actually keep the website that up to date. They usually have a variety of West Coast and East Coast ipas on tap. Plus the Blonde Ale.

Best bet could just be to go old school and call the tap room: (775) 331-2739

 

I checked and yes they are showing all the hazy's on tap. But if you click on the other Rev Brew Co on top next to "Events" it'll show what regular IPA's are on tap. Thanks man.

 

I'm pretty sure those are updated daily as well, unless there is nothing to change. Took me way longer than I'd like to admit to see that there two tap lists on the website though. Thanks Revision for making me feel stupid lol

 

So all the hazy ipa's on tap are showing can's (4pks) available. Can anybody confirm this?

 

Looks like Distance Haze and Smoke and Mirrors aren't, they'll still do a crowler pour for those though.

 

Battle of the Lords is living up to the hype IMO. Really tasty. I could drink 1,000 of them right now.

Got a 4-pack of it and a Smoke & Mirrors 4-pack too from the Cap N Cork Jr. Market in Los Feliz.

 

I haven't heard about the hype of this particular Revision release but I did luck into it - I walked in to Davis Beer Shop as this was being unloaded from distro and I took two four packs. I've had 3 cans and it is quite good. I think the Mosaic Revenge in bottles is great and that's based on just one bottle. I had a triple that was a total dud though.

 

Looks like even more Revision beer coming soon as they are getting more tanks.

One new 20 bbl fermenter for experimental beers. Also THREE 80 bbl tanks for the production beers on the way as well.

 

Just tried a few of Revision's beers. Wade's Wines in Westlake Village gets 4 packs. Of the three I've tried, Smoke and Mirrors is my least favorite. I love hazy but the sediment at the bottom of the can was like a mouth full of flour.

 

Great, since they wanted to distro to 10+ states in their first year. It was awesome when my stores were getting 8-10 case each drop and that has since dropped to about 3-4 cases. Still can't complain.

 

Anyone know of shops in Huntington Beach area that carry Revision cans?

Hilltop, Seagate & Liquor Warehouse also get Revision cans when they happen to drop.

Reliable neighboring Costa Mesa locations are Windsor Homebrew and Hi Times.

 

Sometimes Liquor Warehouse. More lately at Kegs.

 

Just grabbed a 4 pack of Lords for the holiday weekend.

They have hit this one out of the park. With their impending production increase these guys will own the NE style retail game, IMHO this is as good as anything people wait in line for. maybe.......?? better ?
