I worried that posting it would give an unjustified signal boost, so I'm glad that to get a reasonable response here. As a longtime Carton loyalist, my hope was to stop a potential smear campaign from spreading any further into this particular part of our fair Garden State.

While we're on man of the people, I liked Steal this Beer SOOOOOO much better without John Hall. I love when it's a good beer discussion with people who know beer (the Talk Beer guys were cool too) and not John Hall talking over every body and being obnoxious and not funny. Just my $0.02 as an occasional podcast listener who would listen a lot more

John Holl doesn’t know beer? I like every episode but to say he’s obnoxious and not funny is way offf to me. I think he and augie are like PBJ together but to each their own.

I know what you mean. Holl is kinda annoying. Knowledgable, yes but just some of the things he says just make me cringe a bit (flavor descriptors especially). To each their own though, he seems to be buddies with Augie and if that's what makes the show tick then all the power to them!

"talking over every body and being obnoxious and not funny" not sure that describes Holl sounds a heck of a lot more like the other guy to me

might be a bit behind on this, but just wanted to say psyched to see Boat recently in large quantities at new retail venues recently... including Bottle King and Wegmans.. assuming this is the effect of the new facility coming onlne? if this is a sign that Boat will be readily available at multiple local venues on a regular basis, I will be a happy camper this summer... surprised to see even the recently released G.O.R.P. was at BK...

speaking of Boat, will we be seeing SS Hief this year? I was quite the fan of it last year.

Hey @augiecarton just had a can of rub for the first time in like a year plus and damn it is a great fucking beer. Perfect with pizza on a cold night nearing the end of a long ass week. Adjuncts aren’t there anymore but the base porter is fantastic. Really hitting the spot right now

I'd go so far as to say it was better than any of the sticker-can IPAs Kane did in the past year. Not trying to make it a competition, that's a compliment to Hief considering beers like Party Wave are coming out from Kane. I don't like to make things all about the hazy IPA, and I appreciate that Carton doesn't do that, but damn, when they want to, they certainly can.

Agreed Boat just dropped at a place by me that, before today, only got the Carton beers brewed at Two Roads. LOVE this beer. Curious: will sixtels of boat be available soon for retail purchase?

Does anyone know if Sundae hit distribution? Want to make the hour and a half trip North but my car is making a god awful sound and I don’t feel like getting stranded....

I agree with both of you. I absolutely love the Need A Bigger Boat series but SS Hief was something special. SS 2012 too, actually. I miss them both so damn much. First time trying Yirgacheffe this year and it is outstanding too, you really you can’t go wrong either any of them (or anything Carton for that matter).

Missed out on SS Kentucky though; maybe someday?

I feel like probably not but also seems there is no set in stone other than this town not leaving Monmouth county. Seems like if a beer sits around they’ll distro it aka raise...but who knows just guessing based on observation.

Thanks, man. I was pretty surprised Raise, SS Yirgacheffe and GORP made distribution; I drove up to the brewery a couple different times to grab them and saw them down south about a week later. Don’t regret the trip one bit regardless, it’s always a pleasure to visit. Finally picked up one of those sweet 0dub “postal service” shirts too (I hear they’re not gonna make them anymore for obvious reasons :frowning2:)

As I sip on an SS Yirgacheffe for the first time, I feel the need to be the nteenth person to comment on how great Carton distribution and availability has become during the past year. Cheers @augiecarton to you and everyone else that makes it possible.
