Had Double Inundation last Sunday on site and took home a growler. That was an absolutely incredible beer. Just about as good as anything else in that style you'll find.

Great trip yesterday. Woodbridge first for case of Elm City followed by CW for max Workhorse. Some amateur tasting notes below; they are two distinctly different Pils. Wonder if it’s akin to Souther vs Northern German style (not that I have any travel experience).

NEBCO is more floral and sweet malt; slightly grainy; bitter with quiet dry finish. CW is herbal and lemony; some spicy hops with subtle crackery malt; low bitterness and soft. No DMS detected on either. Love them both!

And a barrel aged farmhouse bottle is in the horizon per Matt’s Instagram.

Love me a good Helles in the warm weather. I remember that NEBCO/Jack's Abbey collab about 2 years ago: Beer Geek Helles. Killer beer.

How are lines at Counter Weight to buy cans typically? Easy in and out or...?

EZ-PZ. Biggest "line" ever was Double Inundation. Maybe 12 deep at open.

I was in a 15-person "line" the first time they put out Vulture Culture!

Never lines really. You might just have to wait a minute for an available bartender to ring you out after you grab your cans from the fridge if the taproom is busy.

I saw on their Insta that CW is adding some new tanks to the brewhouse, hopefully will increase capacity. The canned DIPAs (Vulture, Dbl Inundation, etc.) have been selling out in about a day. Would be nice to get some more cans so you can buy them on Saturday, too, but that's just me complaining.

Matt responded to an email I sent regarding the new tanks. Some of the capacity will be for Workhorse distribution, possibly in May.

Yeah, the wife and I had a great time. She's not a IPA lover so the amount of other types of beer available to try made her very happy. I have to admit that I was skeptical before trying Black Hogs Kyuri Saki Biru (Cucumber rice ale w\ summer hops) but I liked it

The Helles is on point. Immediately took me back to Munchen.

Workhorse? That's been a classic IPA in Portland OR for many years.

That was fantastic. I'm not too familiar with the style but I loved it. Really hope to see more of that one.

It's really awesome, probably my personal favorite in the state. The beers are excellent and they really cover the full spectrum of different offerings which I appreciate so much these days. Many places are pretty one note in their tap list now, but CW has something for everybody. And they've fostered a pretty chill environment, which is another welcome differentiator.
