Hmmm... wonder if they had multiple batches just stacked there. I'll reach out to my buddy for additional info. I didn't buy any PseudoSue myself. I only stocked up on Supa Sumo.

Maybe the wrong place for this, but CCB had Jai Alai in the old packaging with December dates in their to go cooler during Huna Day weekend.

But it's only a pale ale! India adds at least three months.

This continues to be THE wackest conversation about how old beer should be on the Internet.

So where is anybody finding recent Sue? Stopped by Binnys LP on Monday and the dam PS cans were from Jan 18!!! I did nab some Sumo though from like 3/25/18.

According to Instagram, Scorpius Morchella DIPA will be making its way to Illinois. I know the whole mushrooms in beer sounds beyond bizarre and way out there, but when I had this at their taproom about a year ago, I thought It had no hint of any kind of mushroom and the beer was excellent. Deep orange opaque appearance and tropical + citrus all the way. Really good mouthfeel too.

    It was expensive though.

Is fungus in beer considered an infection?

I would've been skeptical, but Scratch is really pushing boundaries of what sounds too far out for a good tasting beer.

When I had this two years ago in Decorah it was one of my top 5 beers I had that year. Hope it's the same beer.

The last two bombers I've seen from TG (Supa Sumo & Sosus) were not the haze bombs they were pumping out for awhile...I wonder if those were on accident & they refined their process.

Were either of those hazy before? I think the only hazy stuff I've had from them is DDH Sue and that one batch of Decorah Sue

I just looked at my photos of Supa Sumo from Decorah a couple of weeks ago. Definitely a good bit of haziness. Maybe not as much as the typical NE IPAs we think of, but there is absolutely no way you're seeing through that glass.

Maybe my memory is foggy (pun intended), but I thought I remembered Sosus being completely opaque.

Yeah hard to know with returning beers right now (throw Scorpius into that mix). King Sue has turned into a NEIPA for sure. Hopsmack, NugMo, and Fire, etc are hazy but have been going back to last year.

There are actual mushrooms in the beer? I know it's brewed to celebrate the start of morel season, but I had always thought it was just the beer's name and the special brew they bring along and drink on their team-building mushroom hunting day.

I've had it before as well and never detected any mushroom in it. So if they somehow brew it with morels, then hats off to them as you don't get any mushroom flavor in it at all.
