When I grabbed this out of my fridge, I was thinking it was a Xocoveza, but it's a milk stout. Not bad.

 

Thanks for posting that! Now I have something to listen to for a while. I can see where there are some definite similarities in their attack/sound. As far as I know a lot of people set out imitating Art Tatum cause he was so out there from what everybody else was doing at the time, so it isn't even too far-fetched.

 

Not really hoping it goes seven, but if I did know it was going that far, at least I'd know we had a chance. Classic "must win" that we've now had three straight of this series


This is a nice, malty wee heavy with caramel and just a little peat smoke edge and some mineral and earthy counter in the back. Port City's seventh anniversary beer, on my second six pack of it.

 

Man Nelson is such a distinct and unique hop and this brew captures so many of its complex nuances.

Massive white grapes, soft fruits, Citrus and a touch of dank herbs.

This one has been DDH with Nelson and its just a pleaser to drink.

As well rounded a beer you’re gonna find. It’s a little sweet, but has a citrusy earthiness that balances it out so well. Wasn’t gonna do it tonight, but I found out I’m off tomorrow so....game on!
