Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2018

Resist, Pina Colada Resist, Hustle, Citra DMT and GunPowder were all just delivered to Top Ten Andover and I am assuming every other store that carries their beers in the metro yesterday.

 

Not sure if it's as amazing as last time, but DMT Citra is still very good.

 

I feel like their beers have declined a bit recently, they are still great though, just not otherworldly, could also just be me though.

 

Last time they canned Resist it seemed a bit of, but this latest drop is spot on.

 

Hustle (Mosaic Pale Ale), Resist, Resist Pina Colada & DMT Citra all made their way to the cities this week.

 

Where is this distributed in the central, northern, western, and north-western metro? I have yet to try it and now I am getting intrigued.

 

It is hard to say, they distribute direct and I know it is a rather small number of stores, I am sure if you sent them an e-mail or hit them up on social media they would give you the store closest to wherever you are located.

I really Liked Hustle (Mosaic Pal Ale ) this drop,fantastic. The Citra DMT was very good but not great this drop.

 

How is the Pina Colada Resist?

 

I've spotted Brewing Projekt stuff at Top Ten (Andover), Top Valu (Central Ave, Columbia Heights), South Lyndale (Mpls), and Elevated (WBL) in the recent past.

 

The two places in the Plymouth/Maple Grove area that always get it are Princeton's and Vinifera. Maybe others but I'm not sure

I buy all of the DMTs when available, they've had a chalkier mouthfeel for about the past couple months. I still love me some DMT though.

 

I could be crazy, but I had massive variation among the cans in my 4 pack. First two were stellar. Just as good as last time around. Second two were subpar. Palate variation is obviously at play here, but thought it was interesting anyways.

 

Top Valu on Central had DMT Citra, 4 hop, Hustle and regular RESIST as of around 3:45pm or so.

I grabbed the last Pina Colada on the shelf. Maybe they restocked it sine then.......?

 

Just dumped half a can of straight hash down, just not my cup of tea anymore. I ain’t got time for this tropical bullsh*t anymore! Need to find me a pint of straight piney resin. Old school ipa...

Thanks, I was fully on board with this shift in flavor but it sputtered out quickly for me. Maybe I’m just getting old.

I guess I'm getting old too. I was late to try the NEIPA/hazy IPA craze. Tropical fruit punch is not for me. I was at The Brewing Projekt last weekend. Had a DMT mosaic or something like that. It was OK but not something worth have two pours. Note they are finally moving across the street. Loading up the tanks for the move.

Hooey seemed all right, but it was bitter thou.
I tried one of Lupulin's limited up and coming beers last night, it was ok but border line fruit punch. But it did have some bitter pine notes to it.
