That's a question I'll be pondering for the next week. Pass on FO (and variants) or not. Waiting in line, may help me pace myself.

I frown upon alcohol abuse, but if I don't care for whats in my Tin after a sip...will there be a spot to dump the contents? (based on previous years experiences) Or will I be shunned? haha

Yup, called Kentucky Hug. I loved the Modern Time's MP Mexican Hot Chocolate last year. Had multiple pours of that

I think I have a different take on bottle logic, when you are trying to slow down the drinking a little that is when it is a good time to go to bottle logic. The bottle logic lines I have experienced take about 10 mins, so I would grab a pour of something and drink that while waiting in line and that also helps slow down the drinking. Bottle logic has brought their A game the last couple years so even on an off time they would have Darkstar or something barrel aged that isn't as desirable as FO.
When I got in line last year they had iridium flare, darkstar, Jam, and maybe red eye on that I remember plus they did line pours of a hazy ipa.

SOB. Was in SJ for work this week and just read this while sitting on the runway at SFO...hope it was awesome. May have to pull the '14 GM I have in the fridge when I get home tonight.

My dad and I are pumped for the party next week, can't wait to see the list drop.

Mexican Hot Chocolate won it for me last year. I probably had five pours of that and had it again at EBF: LA last year as well.

Random question, since I see MyBeerBuzz stuff posted in here occasionally for new labels: what does it mean whey they post updated labels of an existing beer? For example, in early April they posted about updated Yount packaging: http://mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-bruery-yount-returning-in-750ml.html#more

Does that mean they're...brewing more? Selling more? Nothing? They have similar posts about Sucre, for example, getting updated labeling which makes little sense to me.

Mostly I'm just excited to keep draining my bank account $40 at a time for however many bottles of Yount they'll let me buy.

It means a label has been created and probably approved for use. Bottles are probably still a couple months away, if not longer.

I think it means they're renewing approval to sell in another state or DC... Hard to say without a date on the label but also weird since Yount wouldn't be sold at retail anyway.

No but could be available for DC based hoarders.

Maybe, but they'd probably still sell it through allocations, right? Not retail shelves? Are DC folks blocked from buying archive beers online?

No they would do it through allocations but I think the silly alcohol laws treat it as a new process than the CA only hoarder sales in 2017.

    I’m just curious;

Anyone here listen to The Woody Show? If so, do you think that the Anniversary Party would be an epic place for Sebas to interview people?

Opened a brandy Bois last night. Really delicious, but I would not recommend sitting on this any longer.

TR visit. Mexican CC is very nice. All flavors come though balanced. Milkshake POG is interesting. We got grapefruit, almost like an IPA (until the bottom kicked in). Orange,
Passion and guava combined i guess. Highlight was an offer from the beerista for a not on menu WC with raspberry and coconut. Could use a bit more coconut; but great beer. Hope it meets with approval and is released.

Picked up my small batch box and looking forward to diggIng in. Sipping on cherum now. Sour, but pretty tasty. 375 will be perfect amount.

OK, I'm gonna cry uncle. I held the contrary position that I like sours as 375ml, because a 750ml of a sour tends to be to much for me, but yet I can solo Black Tuesday ( slowly on a weekend), so I prefer 750s for big beers.

I really like my 750ml big beers, but recently bought some 375ml of Cherry Chocolate Rain. My wife, not a beer person (yes I've made progress on figuring out her palate finding things she enjoys) heard the name, "Cherry Chocolate Rain", and wanted to try it. (She has tried Black Tuesday and variants with some success). So we had a weekday beer during the week, because I could share the 375ml..

Honestly, its the first time I've had a Black Tuesday based beer on a day where I had to eork the next day.

So I'm now convinced. 375ml on the big beers is a good thing. That doesn't mean I don't want to buy 750ml,s, but I'll admit, both formats have their place.

I agree, in other words, having the 750 is always great, but in addition we like the 375 so we can drink them and not forget to wake up for the next 2 days during a work week while still enjoying amazing beer.

No worries, if you don’t dump you might be shunned or carried away by an EMT , it is out outside so between dump buckets, trees / bushes and trash cans there plenty of places to dump.

What makes you say that? I also happened to open a brandy Bois this week and found it similarly delicious, but didn't detect anything that would make me think I need to drink the rest super fast.
