This. So fucking crazy. Passed on insane food line and just left early to go eat.

Got my food near last call. Wasn't bad. Went back for seconds, by then it was serve yourself, still have my food tab.

It was great to meet a few of you. Food line sucked around 2. On the bright side, Lyft pick up was quick. Didn't wait too long for anything but I avoided BL after having Paisley at WOL. Glad the bathroom lines were non existent.

It was overall great. The biggest gripe I have is when they opened the gates, everyone at the end of the line just flooded in. I know beer people like to cut and be jerks, but come on, nobody stopped them and that was frustrating.

Haha I saw that, what a mess. I was surprised the same didn't happen when they let us lowly RS members in.

Basically what happened (from my perspective, along the far fence maybe halfway to the check-in areas) was that a huge group of people came in at once - after the line had stretched back beyond the check-in area - and assumed that the line couldn't be for Hoarders, so they just went to the front. So a second line started to form. None of the security patrolling the line told them where to go, so it kept growing and growing. When the gates opened, someone from the security staff started shouting "it's open" or "there's no line" and everyone broke towards the gate. Stupid, but not necessarily jerky behavior, as security was more to blame than those who probably genuinely didn't know where the end of the line was.

Those food lines were totally absurd. I'm thankful I got to spend 45 minutes in the shade, which is probably the only reason I'm not dead right now from exhaustion/alcohol intake, but that disorganized mess was the worst part of an otherwise really well-run event.

It was great seeing you today man.

But yeah... I’m really down on Urge Gastropub because of their poor showing on the managing the food crowds. That was the only negative about the party though. I wasted 45 minutes in that line!

    Saw that.

    Hoarders will be hoarders

RS line was much more orderly.

I was in the back of the line and a security guard came up and told everyone there were 6 gates to get in and to go to the front. That’s what caused that mad rush of people

Great festival other than that shit show of a line for food.

Don't be down on Urge, as the event has (almost) always had only 2 stations, it's the way the Bruery chooses to have it set up. I think the mass movement for food this year was an over-reaction to the caterers running out last year.

I must say, that Banana Puddin' was probably the best showing The Bruery had. They need to bottle that.

They gave us a good amount of food this year too, I was surprised at the portion size, but I'm definitely not complaining.

Overall good time as always, liked the alphabetical arrangement of breweries, while the food line was ridiculous (around 2pm), it gave me a chance to pace my self as so many of the beers lines moved so fast. The anniversary beer with modern times coffee left a lasting impression.

Bummer. Maybe they ran out at the line you were in and tried the ol switcheroo. The line I was in had grated cotija cheese.

The food line was def way too long and disorganized (they didn't even bother to take my ticket) but I had a great time overall so it didn't ruin my first Anniversary party experience.

Id like to say thanks to the Bruery for pulling off a nice event as a first timer. The lines were fine and never had an issue getting a pour of anything. The food was decent and portion size was acceptable considering what they were serving. I never had an issue in the line but then again I planned my lunch when I had a feeling everyone was going to rush to eat close to the end of the event. Im glad they decided to bring cases and cases of water due to the extreme heat yesterday (OF ALL DAYS!) I never got drunk or buzzed really at all due to the heat burning off any ounce of alcohol in my system so I guess that was a plus but most of the time we all spent it hiding in the shade and drinking. I honestly ended up drinking more sours and light beer near the end as the heavy hitters just got me full too quick.

The only thing Id complain about was the same ol shtick bs hype wthat Abnormal errrr I mean Moska does and the PR marketing media surrounding of Derek's beer. I had people keep telling me "OMGOMGOMG GO TO MOSKA AT 1:30! BEST NEW BEER EVEAARRRRRRRRR FROM DEREK. MUCH WHALEZ. SUCH HYPE. WOW".. once I swung by that near around 45 the line was past one of the bruery pouring stations. Someone gave me a sample and honestly I wasnt blown away by it. Even earlier he posted about his Pastry Method for only hoarders with limited bottles and to get to this tent ASAP to try them before they popped. Im sorry, but theres just too many breweries at an event that have much better beers to try and to constantly see this crap makes me less interested in the brewery and any beer they shit out just to keep attracting customers.

Other than that, it was good to see some of the regular guys, some new faces and whatnot. But I would definetely do it again as this was a good event. I cant say I had any real standouts that made me keep coming back but it was good to see Paisley back on tap at BL at least. If I had to really pick some favorites, and again I think due to the heat this is why Im picking them, but CASA and Celladors beers were just perfect for the weather.
