That’s not true at all. There are plenty of husbands/fathers/professionals, but put them in line for a beer release and people basically become single minded.

 

Screw it I’m leaving. This beer only has a 0.5 rating on untappd.

 

It was white and chunky like most of the people in line lol

nah. its just the common unifying denominator. You see it in anything with a large gathering of strangers with the same hobby or fandom.

 

I got here at 8:15am. There are 31 people behind me that got wristbands

 

That didnt take long there is one on MBC already at 525... whats the point?

Where were you standing about when you posted this comment. I'm prob going Sunday (can't go today cuz of stupid work and cant go tomorrow cuz of stupid Kindergarten orientation).
Im looking for a landmark so I know if I should be good or not for that one bottle of beer.

 

I was waiting for it. The first asshole of the day has posted on MBC. Asking $525 for a single bottle but hey, he's open to offers Hahaha.

 

the point? I agree its ridiculous and stupid, but if you are aware enough to check stuff like that immediately after they announce being sold out, some sucker will surely be looking too and buy it for that price.

 

I cant fathom ever spending that much on a beer and a 500ml at that, I mean I could see for a 750 but come on a 500?!

 

I don't know what a MoRE brewing is but I'm thinking for those wanting to try this, wait one month (week? year?) until The Next Big Thing is released and trade this for <insert whatever The Next Big Thing is>. Let this 500ml bottle gather dust in neckbeard cellars, get forgotten about, buried beneath Every Other Pastry Stout Released in Chicagoland and move along - buying into the flipping behavior soon to be on display is arguably worse than actually being the one flipping the bottle.

Say it with me now...You do not need to tick this. It's just another pastry stout.

 

im in complete agreement, but what happens is you get 5 or 6 guys that don't mind pissing away 100 bucks and will do whatever to get that tick. its always about the tick.

 

Effeciently run for resellers. MBC have a pop-up tent onsite all weekend. Resellers will be directed to the tent after leaving the taproom having had their ''tick' secured. FedEx staff will help complete their 'business' upon which a trolley will bring them back to their spot in line.

 

Rich assholes drop 8 figures on paintings, yet there’s confusion over why someone might pay a few hundred bucks for a limited beer?

I think people get upset because beer used to be more of a common hobby. It's a luxury hobby now and people are upset.
