This doesn't make any sense. 'Rich assholes' pay that much for paintings/art, etc. partially as a way to diversify their wealth. Buying an expensive painting is a way to park a lot of capital in something that requires minimal upkeep and they are placing a bet on the value of the commodity increasing should they want to put it up for auction at a later time or donate to a museum for the tax consequences.

Paintings get admired and appreciate in value. You’ll piss out your $525.

I've always thought about it like courtside tickets or the bill at somewhere like Alinea. I cant afford it, but I bet I would occasionally if I had that kind of money.

Its only a luxury hobby if you chase these beers. It can still be what it was, go to any liquor store and buy a beer you know you love.

Sounds about right for ya ...

The best part of this whole back and forth exchange is that @YoDudeguy is in line and @ColonelHopslam isn't ... :joy:

Exactly. People are upset they don't get to try the new beers to see if they have new favorites.

You were chasing pastries five years ago, but now since more people are doing it, it’s no longer cool. Lol. Get lost.

I saw a guy flip his in 2 minutes for $200. He’s no neckbeard, just a guy that made 800% instantly.

But see it's only a luxury hobby because people are reselling the beers. If everyone in line actually drank their f#&kin beer instead of some being opportunists, luxury pricing wouldn't be an issue. Yeah I know it's a two way street and both are to blame imo.

I respectfully rescind my statement. Not only was I completely wrong but seems like More was on top of their shit with wristbands and had enough beer that a VP local could walk out of their house at 8 and get a wristband. I still prefer online but props to them for doing a line right.

This beer a luxury because people put a high value on the item and demand outpaces supply. This beer is a luxury because you need to be able to line up on a Friday morning and not worry about work.

Beer overall isnt a luxury product to the same degree. There are tons of amazing and accesible beers out, you just might not get the most limited run option.

So...really no incidents of douchebaggery have been reported. The shitlords seem to have really dropped the ball on this release...so far...
