PSA: My wife the sour drinker opened her other Hoarder red black etc bottle today and found it much more fizzy than the first. Had to pour quick before it foamed over. Still delicious though she said.

Question for those who bought the small-batch box. Was it packaged in a shippable container? I have my trustee picking mine up this weekend and I need to know what to have him prepare for.

It was a very standard (yet thicker) cardboard box that you see 375s sitting in. I wouldn't want to ship any of them in it, but the box is really nice. When I shipped the box to a friend, I shipped them in a 12 bottle shipper and just broke down the box for them to have.

They did ship them directly in the box they come in... which surprised me cause it didn't look as robust as I would have expected. It worked fine obviously, but I don't know if GSO is told to treat with special care or anything.

The cardboard dividers inside, and the box itself, are pretty heavy duty, but there was no special molded pieces like with the flex-shippers. Also, I'd wager these little 375 bottles are pretty sturdy on their own given how thick the glass is. Might be worth having them open the box and augment with bubble wrap or something.

Keep in mind the box is branded on the outside with what is inside, so just putting a shipping label on it might still raise eyebrows.

Agreed, if you can have them cram in some bubble wrap to make it so the bottles don't move, then put it in another box, it would probably work.

Now that I have more than one, I think I'll open one this week. The last time I had it was probably over 2 years ago.

My trustee sent it to me directly as is, and it made it to Minnesota with no problems. The individual sections are sized fairly snug, so there was little to no risk of movement within the container.

We ended up picking up our small-batch box while in town for the anniversary party. To ensure the small batch bottles were safe, they were added to a 12-shipper purchased at the fulfillment center, with the small
batch box being used for the (less-important) cans and bottles purchased while on our trip. Everything was layered with additional padding, and I’m happy to report we had no breaks on our flight home.

    Hope this helps!

Has anyone had a ginger sour?

Apparently that’s what the rare barrel collab will have. cherry, lime & ginger

Yea, ukulele had ginger in it and wasn’t fan. After taste tasted like throw up but think the chili had a part in that. But will give the Collab a shot. Can’t image they together would come out with something terrible.

Makes me wonder if this is "Blend No 1" our of 6, where each brewery has their own blend version.

What’s been everyone’s favorite bruesicle so far?
They’re taking 2 to the Firestone festival & that’s definitely on the must try list
