Binnys by me has 5/7/18 pseudo sue

 

so I picked up an April batch of Pompeii, (I think 04/09 is the date? I can't remember exactly and I threw the cardboard box out which is the only spot the date is printed.) and it's hazy as hell and it's awesome and it's nearing two months old, and I'm going to go back and grab another four pack:

 

ThT April batch had a little too much hop matter on my tongue. The 5/2 batch is damn near perfect. First time I’ve thought that about a TG since they started to haze it up

 

Does anyone know if TG is selling kegs of PS to the public via Binny’s? I need a new keg for the kegerator.

 

I looked into pseudo sue keg not long ago and could only find 1/2 bbls. It was around $260 I think. They weren’t available in 1/6 barrels

 

Just popped 5/9 DDH Citra Sue Bottle and it tastes bad.... its horrible. Bought 3 bottles because it is my favorite beer and I'm not sure what is going on. My brother said it was bad but I thought he was nuts... Bottle bought at Bloomindale Binny's. Thinking about taking all three bottles back.

 

In from South Bend this morning to grab a keg at Half Acre. Would like to grab some TG hops as well. Can anyone recommend a Binny's semi-close to HA that might have "fresher" product? (I realize "fresher" is relative in this threads...lol). Just trying to minimize the driving.

 

I was going to pick some up but I noticed only the lower half of the bottle was hazy. Which is unusual. You can usually see the haziness through out the whole bottle with TG bombers. For that reason I passed. It just seemed off.

 

For the South Bend Guy: maybe try The Beer Temple 2 miles away. They temperature control their hoppy beers so you can’t go wrong there

 

Thanks for the info. I ended up finding some 5/2 Pompeii and 5/7 (I think it was) Sue in the cooler at Binny’s on a grand.

 

Nice. This 5/7 batch of Sue is good. It reminded me of Hop Prism Turquoise from Noon Whistle if you’ve ever had that

 

it does seem like their cans hold up really well. ive had the same experience, and am a little less hesitant to buy something with 2 months on it than i was at first

 

That comparison sounds backwards.

 

For anyone interested, Fire, Skulls & Money has come around again. Came across some 5/22 pseudo sue as well. Binny's still has the latter for 7.99 too.

 

Anyone try the 5/22 batch yet?

 

Per a Facebook post 4 packs of King Sue will hit distro the last week of June.

 

Mosaic pseudo sue just hit my local Binny's looks like the bottle date is June 5th.

Anyone know the bottle date of the last batch of fire skulls & money? Stumbled upon a bottle which I purchased, but the date is so smudged I can’t make it out. TIA.
