Good evening BAs! Lucked out tonight - one of my favorite bad movies was on Comet - The Giant Gila Monster! Now I'm shifting to MST3K for The Slime People. Prosit!

I've been waiting for @JayORear 's box to cool down all afternoon before I could get into pounding it some! Wait... That came out wrong.

Alvarado Street, Minesweeper. Thanks again, Jay! Cheers.

How's this one? Very sweet? On the shelf here but they haven't had it broken up into singles so I've been hesitant.

I had a very challenging time pouring this beer due to the carbonation issues that you mention. I did however think there were notes of rye and barrel, although faint. I would not buy it again.

A surprisingly nice (aged) passionfruit sour from Local Relic; it is (was) their first anniversary ale bottled September 2016 and recommended for drinking on September 26th, 2017. Bottle #10 of only 51. A little late in getting around to it, but fine all the same...

Ale Asylum "Hush Money" still very drinkable at the 3.5 month mark. Only grabbed a single at Woodman's. Would love to try it fresher at a future date....

I’ve not had this beer, but I’ve had double digit IPA’s from them before and my experience is that they do them VERY well. How was this one?

I’ve said this before, but I will say it again. If you bring Look Out Records to a knife fight, I’ll bring a gun.

Oh yeah, I had to have one more beer on this slow bar night @guinness77

Having a few, my 13 year old best friend had some significant dental surgery for two cracked teeth. The guy is doing ok but very groggy from the anesthesia. He is keeping his distance, confused by the drugs.

Top 3 worst weather I've run in over the last 10 years. Started the workout in 93F, sunny, 90% humidity and no wind (yuck), and then over the span of 30 minutes we accumulated near 1.8 inches of rain, temp dropped 18F, and the wind picked up to around 18 MPH with heavier gusts. Rain continued long after that as well, but at least the temperature and wind didn't get any worse.

Time for a lager from the sunshine state, something I'm craving all of a sudden.

Another special beer that I bought for the holiday, but I didn't get around to drinking it. It tastes just as good on a Tuesday evening...

Fantastic NEIPA from Vivant! Awesome lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, white grape, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready malts, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Amazing soft feel for the style. Insanely drinkable for 6.8%. Absolutely killer style example, coming from a brewery that makes 95% Belgian styles. Extremely juicy, light dank hop complexity; perfect malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy. I need a 4 pack for sure. The Nelson, Citra, Vic Secret hop showcase was just amazing. They really nailed this out of the park. 4.28

Delicious DIPA. Fantastic lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, mango, melon, white grape, currant, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderated honey, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready malts and some sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/resin dryness, no cloyin/astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 8.5%. Great mix of juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; sizable malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy with adequate lingering bitter dryness. They state this having the mix of American/African hops. I'd say classic Chinook/Columbus easily; with the African Queen hop for the stone fruit/berry notes. Really well done. Really old can(12/29/2016), but it held up perfectly fine. 3.91
