Just had a can of Bravo with some buddies; and (with the usual note that Offshoot has a characteristic flavor profile that some like and some don't) I'm really digging it. Nelson white grape aroma makes itself known, and blends will with the mild-but-noticeable bitterness. Not too sweet for a double. Well worth a purchase, imho.

I enjoyed Bravo a lot too. To echo Infinitejester23's comment, it has what I would call the Offshoot profile of tropical fruit. Loved the Nelson hops, as always. Kinda wish it was a single IPA so it was more of a crusher.

Your absolutely spot on Patrick. This BY FAR is the best beer you guys have brewed, an absolute beautiful expression of Nelson hops, the initial aromatic hit almost brought me back to Alpine's OG Nelson. I could tell the minute I poured this and saw that milky white haze I knew something was different.

    Cheers,

    Get a room!

Seriously, glad to hear this news, although I didn't purchase any of these. The last few Offshoot beers have shown up on tap a few places, so looking forward to trying that way.

Good to hear. I passed on Alpha and Bravo. But maybe I will look into their next offering. I still have to much Rev cans and other WCIPA's to go through right now. Plus Critical Band is way cheaper and just as good.

The nose has that pure Nelson Saivin note, it kinda reminded me a bit of when you would pop the cap off the OG Nelson and get that amazing white grape/passion fruit note.

David, I love MT as you know and I'm actually picking up my June on line cans today but with all due respect Critical Band is a completely different beer and IMO can't be compared as " just as good " because it's not.

I respect your opinion Bud. But for me, price wise and taste it is very good in my opinion. I think a lot of this hazy beers are tasting pretty much the same these days. Maybe my taste Buds are just getting tired of all this haze and its all pretty much the same to me. I would pay $18-24 for a 4pk of hazy ipa's. But if I can buy CB for $10 a 4pk? Why not. To me it's just as good. IMO. I haven't bought anything online from MT or OS lately. I can go to BWHB and get a crowler of their hazy greatness when the BW guys brew a haze beer. And when Julian does brew a haze beer its usually pretty damn good. I find myself drinking 1 or 2 cans of clear ipa and then maybe 1 can of haze. I still prefer clear over haze. But that's me. And you know me Bud, if I want a good haze ipa I will go out of my way to get it. Maybe it's time for another road trip or to fly someplace for beer. But right know I got everything I need here.

I like CB a lot, my point is that you can’t compare the two as they’re completely different beers. My response had nothing to do with what your preferences are. I guess I just don’t understand how you could have said CB is just as good if you have not tasted Bravo.

    Cheers

    Not to Bravo obviously.
But to most of the hazy ipa's I have had that's out there. I guess I'm trying to say is that after a while all the haze I've had in the past and now are tasting the same to me. That's why I stopped Monks stuff after it all tasted the same to me. I don't buy Brouwerji West cans anymore. Some of the Rev cans are tasting the same to me. And Offshoot was just down right terrible the first year. Yes One and the can after 1 was good. It's all good and the haze is here to stay. Thank god BW, ESBC is still brewing mostly the clear beer. One other thing I've noticed when I have the haze beer is that it fills me up quicker than clear. 1 & done. And then it's back to the clear beer. Yes I know I'm just rambling on here but that's me.

I'm pretty disappointed by this year's Critical Band to be honest. It's still good for the price but the four-pack I had tasted off from what I remembered.

I was thinking the same thing but I prefer the minimalist labels to the busy and sometimes tacky artwork of previous resleases.

Yeah I'm a total minimal fan, but shit, this is too minimal ... don't think I've ever seen a beer label with no name of the actual beer

As I was walking to my car I looked at the cans and noticed there was no name and figured they must have given me the correct beer, right? Right?!?

I find nothing wrong with these labels. As long as it's stamped with a name and canned date.

MikkellerSD pretty much does this to their Windy Hill.
