Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2018

It's out there now. I happened to walk into it at Top Ten Blaine last Friday. Also saw it at Rapids in **** Rapids this week. $8 a bomber is pretty good price even if the barrel is very muted in the flavor. A quick online lookup says that Total Wine Roseville has it now as well (though they just ran out of So Happens it Tuesday. D'oh!)

Up in Brainerd, my spot was told that TG hadn't shipped to the distributor yet, so won't be on the shelf until next week around here. Also, sounds like a lot of places are only getting 1 case.

 

"settled" for pompeii instead. It's straight fire, can't be beat for $8.99/4 pack.

I could rotate 2 hearted 4 packs with TG 4 pack IPAs and not drink any other IPA for a while!

 

My contact at JBLC is going to check into the KS status for me tomorrow. We shall see

Modist Double Dreamyard and Double False Pattern hitting all over today. Just grabbed some at Liquor Barrel Golden Valley. Here's a list of stores where they will be.

Was there plenty there, or was it pretty limited? I had them at the brewery on Fri night and thought double dreamyard was great. Double false pattern tasted really good, but for some reason sat really heavy for me to want to drink much of it.

 

I didn't ask how much they had but whatever they had put out initially was gone so they restocked the cooler from the back when I asked about it.

 

It looks like one will have to know someone or be very nimble in being at each store that gets its delivery of 'King Sue' cans. Available quantity is very limited, for example France 44 got in one case (24 cans) with a buy limit of one can per customer.

 

Wonder why Toppling goliath shipped king sue to Massachusetts if the batch was so small. Annoying for sure

 

What good is the hype machine if everyone can get one in a small area rather then the vast majority not getting one spread out over a wide area?
