I don't get the pop-ups often, but when I do, they only show up right after I log off. Maybe that info will help pinpoint the issue?

Site is basically unusable right now on Android chrome. Constant redirects so can't navigate. Is there any way to stop JavaScript redirects on your site without entirely disabling JS?

Came on here to say something along these lines. I was trying to copy the URL from the pop-up, and after getting sabotaged by the same pop-up SIX times on my phone, gave up and used the laptop.

This is affecting my usage of the site for sure. And I imagine there are many instances that aren't being reported here. If I'm on the site for more than 90 seconds, I get the pop-up and have to start again. I hope there's a solution in the offing.

EDIT: Just for clarity's sake, even though it's on my post above this...

@Advally - any update for this? Or would that better be directed at a site administrator?

    Thanks.

I've been getting the Amazon pop up for a couple month, but today seemed to be non stop. A friend (@azuelke ) recommended deleting an app I use (HQ LIVE) and it since has stopped. Tanks Adam!

Just ridiculous at this point. Your ad company must be giving you an amazing deal for you guys to be willing to have your forum users deal with this shit, for months at this point.

I don't run into any of this on my Pixel/Chrome, but I feel everyone's frustration. And I'd love to get rid of all ads, but unless more of our users are willing to become Premium Members (no ads), buy a subscription to the mag, attend a BA Fest, and whatnot, ads are necessary to help pay the bills.

Regardless, this shouldn't be happening so frequently. Advally has been alerted.

    Thanks for your patience.

You need to switch to an ad company that can fix this issue. Your site is unusable .

Thank you for acknowledging these posts. I was starting to feel like we were shouting into the void, especially since the AdValley rep hasn't been active after showing up - though I do appreciate that the rep went to extra mile to get on here and put a "face" to the problem. I got on here on my laptop so I could post this.

Is it safe to assume you're an ad-free premium subscriber?
Or does this have something to do with various phones that the user base has?

I think this is completely understandable, but...

At least on a mobile platform. Knock on wood, I've yet to have any issue on a laptop (Windows or Mac). But I've also not had any similar issues on any other website on my phone.

Thanks in advance for getting this fixed. It really has made navigating the website on mobile quite a headache.

    Everyone -

I'm super sorry that we missed these. I take full responsibility for the problem, because we didn't subscribe to this thread. That is not an acceptable excuse by any means, but we will correct it for the future.

We're on top of it, and hope to have it sorted by tomorrow. Please keep the reports coming if you see anything, and if ever in the future we aren't answering here you can either email me personally at doug@advally.com or call my office line - 514.448.2760.

We will get this cleaned up.

Personally I'm a Premium User but from my understanding, it is a constant battle between the ad serving platform, malicious ad developers, and phone OS/browser developers. The phone OS/browser developers are trying to close down any exploits being used to get these malicious ads and ad serving platforms trying to find them before they get served up.

So yes, some phone OS and browser versions are more susceptible.
