What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2083

Happy Birthday America. Evaluating my alternatives.

 

Waiting for my friends to come over before I pop one. Will be making some impromptu music this evening.

 

Happy 4th to all of us in the United States, and happy Wednesday, I guess, to those of you from other parts of the world! Starting today with this coconut stout. Cheers!

 

Bavaria Premium Pilsner. A farewell drink since I learned Bavaria wil be off the market anytime soon to be replaced by their premium label. I only had Bavaria when I was a student. Srtangely the taste does not bring back any memory ...

Yesterday I was moaning about their premium label Swinckels (see second picture) and the price I payed for a can.

Could not get this strange price of my mind. So when I had the chance this afternoon I went to the shop and it turned out there had been a mistake in the pricing. Only the label in the shop, in fact I had payed the normal price. That was 1 euro, instead of 3,-- I mentioned yesterday.

Well, OK. Still lager-like beer, but definitely one of the nice cans in it's price range. So still value for money with the new label. My apologies to Bavaria and Swinckels for my earlier posting.

Other Half w/Arizona Wilderness City Slickers 2. This is the newly released double version. Really distinct w/Prickly Pear and quite good but not sure its as good as the original IMHO. Cheers

 

We have a community 50 mile bike ride on the 4th every year. Not a fund raiser or a promotion for any of the shops. Just for the enjoyment of group riding. A nice diversity of cyclists show up. Racers, tourers, mountain bikers, students, soldiers
It's one of the benefits of living in a small city.

Found a old can of Burley Oak Purp The Magic Dragon that @CanConPhilly gave me to start my 4th of July. Heading to a cook out in a little that is BYOB, looking to drink a good amount of the background of the course of the day, stay safe BAs, cheers!

 

Relaxing at the house instead of the beach like probably most people in this town. We're going to head out tonight for some fireworks.

I just cleaned my grill in preparation for later. In other words, I broke a good sweat and got about 10 fresh mosquito bites.

Refreshing with this one from the DFH mixed pack I bought for today.




Pulled a little audible at the store this morning and picked up a dozen littlenecks that I’m going to grill for my friend and I. Wives won’t eat em and six a piece will be a nice appetizer to the planned appetizers.
