Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2018

Not to derail this thread, but beer pricing is far more nebulous than cost of goods x some percentage. From my experience, breweries often have a rough shelf price in mind when they price out to retailers/distributors.

Breweries also often line-price so you'll see the same price for their blonde ale, IPA, stout, brown ale, etc. even though the cost of production is likely fairly different.

 

Hennepin Lake Liquor has both DDH Dreamyard and DDH False Pattern. $18.99 and $14.99 per 4 pack, respectively.

 

Richfield liquor on 66th and Cedar Ave. has 4 packs of King Sue in the cooler. $17.49 per 4 pack

 

I see Lunch, I sure hope they get Dinner as well!

In town for work and I picked up a can of Mango Shook at Total Wine. Pretty good stuff.

Maple Grove TW also had some Bruery bottles on sale in front of the registers at crazy marked down prices, so I picked up a Rueze for $2.99 (originally $18.99). Couldn't pass that deal up.

 

Oh.

Wow, I agree some of bruery stuff is so far out of line price wise, but $2.99 is crazy!

 

It was so crazy that I assumed it was a typo on the price card hanging from the shelf. Even the cashier was surprised and she said that it was a great deal.

$2.99 for a 750ml oak aged sour ale is damn near 40oz malt liquor pricing, but without the shame and despair.

What’s next? College kids duct taping bottles of Rueuze to their hands?

Both Wanderer and So Happens It's Tuesday, were on sale for $3.99. I wish I had snagged more of the latter, got 5 bottles of the former.

I actually used the same example when explaining the cost of Rueze to a buddy (which I also snagged two bottles of).

 

how often is Drekker hitting distro with their cans? in town in two weeks. i see they have four hitting this week.

 

Seems to be about every two weeks, mostly later in the week. Feel like it has become more sporadic in the past few weeks though so who knows. I will say you gotta be on top of their deliveries to snag some. They sell out within hours of being delivered. Someone else can probably give a more precise answer than this, but at least you get a general idea

 

Not sure about every place, but as an example - Princeton's seems to get them every other Thursday pretty much on the dot. They're due for a shipment tomorrow.

 

Jack its usually every 2 weeks on a Thursday. As @Petcha stated. Think tomorrow is the day also. Places like Zipps,France44,Ale Jail,Liquor Barrel,Elevated & SLL with get a drop.

 

I just saw 22oz bottles of 'Twisted Galaxy' at France 44, limit one and priced at $10.99.

I must be the only one buying Union Jack and the 12-pack samplers like they are going out of style.

In all fairness, Luponic Distortion is a limited series and the next ones are about to hit the market (thats my guess)
