Halloween "tasting."



A friend and his wife came over on Saturday. He and I took care of all but the Dark o'the Moon, Schlafly, and Punkin. I took care of them tonight.

Thanks to all the goddamn generous people (thetomg, spycow, tnudish, yeahnatenelson, mishuggah, bauermj, readbaron, others) who shared these for my 30th birthday and no thanks to MasterSki for bringing Ghost Scorpion.

 

Our biggest mistake was starting with Bourbon County Rare. Everything after that wasn't anywhere nearly as good in comparison.

Drank these over a 4 hour time period paired with different cheeses other foods which would compliment them. My favorite tastings are with a low amount of bottles and low amount of people over a longer time span.

 

A couple of tastings from this year.

So i see you got to try CBS the one you always wanted as you said in other threads...so did it live up to the hype for you Hanzo?

 

Yes and no. The rumors of the maple being faded were true, I still got it, but it was very very faint. I'd love to try this fresh. That said, even without a solid maple presence I still think it was a very delicious beer.
