BTW KBS was way smoother on tap at the mother ship than the bottles I bought when it came out. What a great bar. We drank $100 in beer this afternoon, but will be back tonight for round 2. No one’s driving so Cheers!

I actually liked this beer, but by surprise: they call it a SD pale ale, and yet my first thought was that it reminded me of a hoppier British ESB. There was a malt/roast effect in it that I really did not anticipate. Maybe the first beer from Stone that surprised me. Cheers.

Just had a Koehler lager at the Pittsburgh Inn, Erie, PA. Koehler is one of the newly resurrected old style lagers that used to be all over PA. Nice lager, enjoyed in a great place!

I really missed your posts when you're underwhelmed by a beer. Cheers, brother!

Drinking a grapefruit seltzer as I wait for a Great Divide Brewing tapping nearby... in the meantime since I won't be heckling anyone, please to enjoy this. Cheers!

Ya, I was surprised with it. I figured another routine Stone beer. It actually is pretty good. Nothing over the top but a very well rounded beer. I agree on the malt, I was not expecting it.

    Old Nations Full Earth
    NEDIPA 9.1% abv

Boss Tweeds replacement till the fall

A bit on the sweeter side
Also a strong alcohol bite for a NEIPA
    But it'll do

    CHEERS

If Nelson is my favorite hop, then Galaxy isn't far behind. This is tremendous.

Just finished up cleaning out the front gutters. It’s 80 degrees out right now and probably felt like 85 - 90 up there in the sun.

Just cracked this open and I’m now in heaven. This is such a fantastic mosaic beer.

My first beer from Edmund's Oast* in South Carolina...
Nice profile of fruits both tropical and orchard, and an undertone of both fresh and dank pine... Brighter citric notes and breezy pine airs lighten this 9.5% abv beer nicely... The bitterness eclipses the sweetness, uncommon in the age of the NEIPA, and there is a nice tack of shellac on this otherwise smooth-bodied ale... Moderate carbonation and a clean finish, medium-ish body, and a dangerous drinkibility...

I was unsure about committing to a 4-pack purchase of an unfamiliar beer from an unfamiliar brewer, but I've got no regrets now... Recommended...

    Cheers...

--> Bonus points: an "oast" is a kiln used for drying hops...

Hubbard’s Cave V17. Never heard of the New Zealand hop Dr Rudi. I’m blaming him since this is definitely the worst of the V series.

+1 for the Bittman cookbook, -1 for the CBS reaction. Thought it was great this time.
