Sharing "Rare Beer" with everyone

I cracked open a SA Utopias 2012 with co-workers the other night after a beer event. Does that count?

Yep. He got called out for blatantly trying to boost the trade value of his Dark Lord and took offense when I called him out for it. Mentioned something about a boxing coach and people sounding stupid with broken jaws. Sadly, the thread is long since deleted.

I don't know about you guys but I always drink my whales and never share them. I do however send all my friends pictures of me drinking said whale. Does that count as sharing?

 

Ya know what makes a whale taste better? sharing the beer with other people who might not of been lucky enough to go to the release ...... Or people that do not have the ammo to land some of these so called whales. A beer is only as good as the friends you share it with. And i have met plenty complete strangers that i can now call friends just by sharing a beer!

Life is to short to hoard your beers. Its only a great beer if more people can enjoy it too and talk about meeting a complete strange because he was pouring beer randomly to ba's that were interested in trying it

And this is what being a BA is about..

 

Two times this year I shared good bottles (Firestone XIV and Deschutes BB XXIV) with people I just met. They both really like beer, but are not zealous enough to have a BA login or to make homebrew.

Both times the reply was, "This is the best beer I've ever had!" It is true that these are merely good shelf beers, but I know the reactions were genuine and the bottles were not infected by Rareness.

 

I share most of my walez with Peter, and I actually hate him.

THIS MF did one stupid little trade with me. We struck up a solid friendship. A couple of months go by, and it is GABF. I only get to attend one single gathering (not a GABF session - we had our baby 10 weeks premature and she had just come home a couple weeks prior) so he sets up a tasting with all my best drinking pals and brings Vanilla Bean DL (among about 10 others of only SLIGHTLY smaller caliber)!!!!

This man is the REAL DEAL.
