Or, at least, a noon opening on Friday. That would be great.

You're walking it back now, but that isn't what you said initially. Whatever, though... why don't we all just enjoy a good Counter Weight beer (or ship it across the country for something more hyped if you must). We can let them handle the manner in which they grow their business. In my opinion, they're doing a phenomenal job.

Blueberry/Mosaic sour IPA in cans today.

Have to say that I’m disappointed. Sounds like a Two Roads beer.

I'm disappointed because it was a pretty bad beer. Everything else on draft on Friday was delicious, though.

Does anybody happen to know off-hand if Counter Weight will fill a swing-top 750ml growler?

Last time I was down I got them filled at Fox Farm no problem but I realize they won't fit under everybody's taps.

If they're able, any brewery will fill any growler in CT. Except those jerks at New Park, they're the only ones that wont as far as I know. Also, Superfluous is daaannkkkkk

Not sure if this was ever discussed - was there any fallout with Leonard and Westfall when Matt decided to leave Nebco? I see a collab between Nebco and Tribus and CW hinted at a project with Tribus as well. But nothing ever between CW and Nebco.

No fallout at all. In fact, CW was pouring at the recent brewfest that NEB held in house.

Thanks. Guess I’m surprised there wasn’t an immediate collaboration beer and just went to the extreme conclusion.

And NEB was one of the breweries pouring at Counterweight's 1 year anniversary party too

I'm sure they will do something together in the future. Probably for like an event or charitable cause. CW has only done 3 collabs to my knowledge: Weights & Measures brewed at Industrial Arts in NY, Hadron Kaleidoscope with Banded from ME, and Group Chat with Jack's Abbey in MA (hasn't been released yet).

It seems like CW is going out of market to do their collabs. Going next door to Woodbridge might not bring in any new clientele or offer any new brewing insights since Matt has his obvious history at NEB. I'm sure something will happen, though.

Think there was collab with Lasting Brass as well.
    Definitely excited for Group Chat!

Yea my list definitely wasn't all inclusive, and I knew I forgot some. The ones I had were pretty notable/came out of CW.

If Group Chat is anything like Beer Geek Helles from the Jack's Abby/NEB collab then I am super pumped. Matt seems to do a hell of a job with lagers (Workhorse, Fest Bier, Ein Helles, etc.)

I was at Counter Weight on Saturday and picked up DDH Superfluous which (pardon my frankness) was pretty forgettable and a four-pack of Dalliance. I had company over yesterday and while I wasn’t paying attention, they drank all the Dalliance. I never even got to try it! Somebody tell me it was awful.

I'm pretty surprised by that. I didn't get any of these cans but all the hoppy stuff ive had from them recently has been spectacular.

    Their

Their best Pilsner by far. It blows the Audition aramis out of the water.

Something will happen in the future. Think we just have to figure out the details/timing/what the beer will be. Matt and I def. want to do something different style wise than what most people would expect (hopefully everyone else involved will agree...). Matt is one of my favorite people in the CT beer scene, and def look forward to collaborating when that time comes.

Was at CW last night. the new pilsner is killer.
