Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

Unfortunately I think my prediction was wrong. I think we gotta wait another week.

 

The Pipeworks website is up to date with all the Dojo offerings. But, yes there are several ones still listed.

 

I am a big fan of Supremium Hypster Beast Mode. I think it’s their best take on a hazy beer that I’ve had.

 

Better than KoB?

 

I only had a small taste of KoB at a share, but I think I liked SHBM better.

 

I got several there Friday afternoon.

 

These new Armarillo hops in SHBM are super swole. Seriously though, it's really tasty, as is Brewnicornski.

 

I'll be in the minority here (preferences & all that). While the aroma on Beast Mode was spot on, the flavor let me down some. Seemed a bit too 'bright' which might only make sense to me. I wasn't digging the finish on this one either. I was a big fan of King of Borgs and this one pales in comparison. Although an unfair comparison as this is a pale...a pale ale.

 

I really like Supremium.

However, the biggest takeaway I had from the dojo is that Infinite Galaxy will Brewer and realsed a few more times this year.

It was easily one of my favorite beers of the year, so I will happily away its return.

 

Anyone know if Brewnicornski or SHBM will be at binny's Grand or South Loop?

 

I 100% agree with this, and was excited to hear it when I asked about it as well. I thought Brewnicornski and SHBM were good, nothing great. I just much prefer their standard IPAs/pales in general.

 

BA Murderous will be at GTMW this weekend, so it’s looking likely we’ll see it released at the Dojo this week/weekend.

 

I know it's not Binny's but Capone just posted that they have both. So likely Binny's will get it at some point.

 

Dojo is closed Friday and Saturday, so I assumed it’ll be next weekend. Seems strange they’d release it on Thursday, only to be closed the next two days. Of course, stranger things have happened.

 

Do you know why the Dojo is closed?

 

Great Taste of the Midwest beer fest.

 

There has not been a FWB email reservation for any new BA items. That usually comes out a week or two before it hits the Dojo for General public.

 

Wow just surprised. They worked a bunch of feats this weekend and stayed open. I didn’t know they upped the on-site fest staff so much for GTMW

 

They are bringing around 16 different beers to Great Taste. Not sure if they have a big presence that requires more staff to attend than normal. First time going this year, so I'll check it out.
