Ok, another day for traffic avoidance.


The big beer is Petal Pusher, in honor of @aoampm as I hear he is one of those ladies in Hawaii pushing a lay on you as you get off the plane.

(Did I spell that right? I think so.)

The other big beer is Grey Monday (2016), because why the hell not.

 

You are not alone

 

I was just passing by, and stopped at Joe Canal's in Iselin. I was impressed that they had their local beer in coolers (looking at you Total Wine) and had a decent selection of bombers, including Singlecut and Maine. For me is not far from the Turnpike (i.e. I-95) so is a very easy and convenient stop.

But overall, I think NJ breweries have been picking it up lately (I have been to Carton & Kane before, but I plan on stopping at some others in the future).

 

I’d give Triple Crossing a slight edge for ipas. I still love Veil though, especially their fruited sours. Between Veil and The Answer, Richmond has a chokehold on the US fruit sour title.

 

This is always a treasure, from the can or from the glass.
