Got absolutely drenched on my walk home from the L. Time for a beer. Cheers!

 

Nice IPA. Nice head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, citrus peel/rind, mint, wood, pepper, pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. A bit muddy aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel; slight resins/rinds. Light-moderate increasing bitterness dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, 5.5%. Classic tasting IPA. Centennial, Cascade, Fuggles. Nice juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; nice dark/bready malt backing, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Probably an old bottle, held up well. 3.68


Central State/Bare Hands Collab. This is nice. Solid head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big mint, lemon, lime, strawberry, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, elderflower, lavender, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy peppery bitterness; and slight fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops/mint the mouthfeel; light resins, rinds, and slight acidity. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Way overpowering on lime/mint in the aromas, taste was a little more balanced. They were going for a mojito style DIPA, and it was well done for that aspect. Grew on me through the glass, definitely an odd one. Styrian Wolf/Citra Hops. Balanced juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops/mint/fruit; solid malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from lingering bitter dryness. Very well attenuated for the ABV. 3.68
