In line at hudson valley recently, someone was trying to tell me that the pop-tops on the cans were different for Monson vs. Charlton cans. They said I could read about it on the internet.

People are quoting a very slow line today. Maybe due to the big selection. Really hoping for pours around 6

I'll be at treehouse for the first time next thursday. Knowing my luck, old man and trail magic will be available next week just based on how much good beer they've been dropping the past week or 2 lol

The good news is they usually release popular beers during those releases to get people in the door.

I'd say you're safe to have some good stuff to choose from. It's almost impossible to have nothing you would really want to buy at the new facility. In Monson you would be out of luck sometimes.

Met up with a friend there today to exchange some beers we'd bought for each other. Grabbed some BBB and Bright Galaxy since I've never had them.

Had All That Is and Marshmallow All That Is. Both were excellent, honestly not a major difference between the two. A slightly smoother mouthfeel on the marshmallow version maybe but neither was head and shoulders above the other. Also had some Julius w/ Guava and GODDAMN. That was amazing. Incredible nose and just a bomb of flavor, I loved it.

Since I've been negative a lot lately, I will say Aaaaalter is finally drinking good these past couple of weeks.

Cool, we'll definitely check out that smokehouse

So my friend and I were wondering how the process was. We know there are draft tickets. How many can he purchase at once? I am driving so he is hoping to mostly try on draft rather than buy cans. For cans, if they release a new set of cans after I've gotten some, can I go into line for those? The website says no but it could be out of date? Tuesday releases are usually weekend leftovers or are they freshly canned?

Drafts are usually 2pp so you can buy two tickets and go to the bar and get your draft. Sometimes they let you get two 8oz drafts of rotational beers as opposed to the 16oz. They don’t open until later in the afternoon on Tuesday so the chance of them releasing a can after open is slim to none. There is usually a freshly canned beer (or two) on Tuesday in addition to whatever is leftover from this week.

My turn...why in the world would you make a special trip to TH and not get cans?

This is what makes Charlton better than Monson. You could get burned in Monson with the TH lottery release system, but in Charlton it makes it fun...at least from the perspective of someone coming a few times a year from afar.

I think he was talking the overall experience, customer service, location and beer. Not just beer.

You can get your two pp limit at one time since the draft line can be 50-70 deep at any given time. It wasn't very clear to us. I waited twice but lines weren't excessive. But stuff does run dry so get the two that you want asap.

They Mark your right hand with a T in black sharpie. I saw like two-three shift changes in the 2 hrs I was there. Ie different people serving. So one could technically wipe their wrist clean and go back up. I also saw a employee change at the draft ticket area. You stay long enough and don't stand out ( a beard and brewery t is a must) and you could probably get more than 2 pours.

I did see numerous people who didn't care to read or listen who waited in the pour line and had two marks on their hand and were denied.

However, They will sell you more tickets than you can cash in. Or if you accumulate some from friends. They are nice about offering refunds.

They will serve to nursing or pregnant women as they probably know they are being shared with the husband's.

The scenery is great but I can see how it's more of a grab and go place. Sample two, get your cans, and drive home safely. I came from 2100 miles away and didn't feel a need to get a draft pour of everything. There are signs everywhere starting not to open your cans on their property. The grounds are awesome and you'd wanna stay all day but the two really does try to get you in and out.

haha no. they will serve nursing and pregnant women because they are required by law to serve nursing and pregnant women. Its how the law works nationwide. You get your liquor license revoked if you turn away a customer for being pregnant or nursing

no idea where you got your speculation from but the truth of it is a funny tidbit of american law
