Interesting that they announced Bright w/Citra already. I didn't notice any changes to the website but this could be a sign they are starting to can on Mondays.

    More beer = Good.

Their instagram story showed a stout brewing with what looked like marshmallow mixing in at the top... but I also have no idea what a stout would look like brewing at whatever stage it was.

I had All that is with marshmallow last week and it was delicious.

Not just widely thought - TH says in their descriptions it’s Julius plus mosaic and Amarillo

I believe it's the Julius base malt with mosaic and amarillo hops. They might not share any of the same hops

    Holy hell.... 4,500 cases

I think this is going to be the new norm for the core line up. They want to have them available at all times. Last weeks Julius was the best I've had, hopefully the big batch delivers

That's easily going to last into next week.

    Crazy times we live in.

Nope. Julius and AE are the same beer going into the FV. They are just dry hopped differently. Same kettle hop additions in both.

By no means a complaint (its great for a consumer!), but the huge runs of Julius and last week's Eureka seem to be a bit of a game changer; if this continues, the supply/demand imbalances should be really mitigated (of course except for the rarities). More significantly, this huge ramp up in supply (and at a low price point in the case of Eureka) must also be a bit scary to other regional up-and-coming breweries... when you can get this much Treehouse, it has to be at the expense of other breweries at some point.
(I understand that these volumes are still really small compared to mega-breweries but I do think the world of "premium brewery-only basically beer drinkers" is small enough that there is relevance.)

Shit, soon we'll be discussing if TH is still craft or not.

Based on some of their tweets, I think TH is looking to get away from the craziness they've dealt with the last 4 years or whatever. They know it's bad for the more casual people who show up on a random day with their kids hoping for a drink and it just so happens to be the day King Julius drops. At most breweries you can swing by and get a pint and some cans without much of a hassle, but not here. Their long term goal is probably a relaxing environment where anyone from anywhere visiting can stop in and grab some cans of Julius, Green or Haze that they've been hearing about for years and it's actually there for them to buy instead of the luck factor.

This however will kill the overall image they've made for themselves (and probably what made them so successful) but overall they need to adapt and change like every other business or get left behind. Maybe they re-open Monson for the whale releases... who knows?

I'm heading up in about 15 minutes. I'll report back later tonight. This will be my first time back at Tree house in 5 years (since the original location).

    Julius, 4500 cases x $3.80 per can x 24 per case = $410,400. Holy Crap.....that's only one offering....:astonished:

Operating costs of that place must be pretty high though. As well as 50+ employees.

    50 employees at 40,000 per year = 2,000,000 / 52 weeks = $38,461 per week in salary. $410,400 - $38,461 = $371,939. and still, that's only for the Julius run....

I'm not sure if you're accounting for this or not but it costs a business way more to employ someone than just what's in that person's paycheck.

But for example Budweiser makes a fortune selling beer for $12.99 a case, They pay for advertising, unionized labor, distribution costs, shipping...etc. Tree House has none of that overhead.....So I bet they do pretty well. I know they have a lot of my money..haha
