Hey @Prager62 remember this guy? I’ve been saving this for a rainy day and here it is. This is amazing. I get this nice rye, raisin, grain taste with this awesome barrel backbone. This is a great beer. Gotta say, that maple syrup is really coming through the more I drink it. Impressive.

I know a lot of you already know, but, a presence that was greatly missed in this thread. @Prager62 gave me one of the most generous gifts I’ve ever received in my life. A BA’s BA. A true gentleman. Thanks again Jim. Lol, I still laugh about the day I got that box.

I think it goes back to the early 90s, when it used to be my 'card playing' glass (it holds nearly 2 bottles, so I could stay seated for longer stretches of time ). But, yeah, between the size and inward sloping sides it sure is a great all-purpose glass no matter what you're doing.

 

Up next for me is Tree House's Haze...Still my favorite regular offering from them.

Hop Butcher Galaxy Bowl DIPA (100% Galaxy). I think time has done this one well. A super soft Galaxy juice bomb. So good. Cheers BA!

Fantastic session IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate lightly toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.7%. Not watery at all. Amarillo/Simcoe hops just like Double Trouble, pretty much the same flavors. Very vibrant and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops complexity; nice pale malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness. Will definitely keep this in the fridge more often now, forgot how much I loved it. Absolute best SIPA available. Got a super fresh 6 pack recently. Glad the cans are not exclusively in the 15 pack anymore!


Great American porter. Fantastic head retention/foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of raisin, plum, citrus/zest, smoke, char, and herbal/floral/grassy hops. Pretty muted aromas. Very mild herbal, floral, grassy, zesty hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with very creamy/silky/bready malts; slight sticky hops and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering hop/roast dryness. Very drinkable, 6%. Spot on style, not overly roasty or bitter. Very clean and nicely rich malt complexity; mild fruity yeast and balancing citrusy Centennial/Cascade hops.

I am loving what this brewery does. This beer, along with their Belgian pale ale and then their American Blonde. All 5.5% and below. Super clean, crisp and all full of flavor.
