Had my first Group Chat can today.
Really stretching for that Pilsner classification.
    Fine beer nonetheless.

Coffee Void is back!!! It's been way to long, can't wait to grab a bunch.

Should also mention that I had a Workhorse Pils for the first time a few days ago. I'm not a Pilsner guy at all and it was so easy to drink, very enjoyable.

It's on the menu for next Sunday's CT brewery dinner at The Beer Collective, so it should be out this weekend or next.

I grabbed the IIPA collab with Lasting Brass yesterday. Looking forward to trying it this weekend.

Friday I was able to get the collab, a bunch of Void and one of the last 4pks of Vulture Culture. After having a pint of Creature Preacher I was mad that I missed out on the cans, was really good.

Ein Helles and Fest Bier for today. Exactly why CT needs to remove that dumbass oz restriction.

Can someone give me the actual statutory citation for the oz restriction?

    Thanks

Per Substitude Senate Bill No. 386, Public Act No. 15-24:
Sec. 5. Subsection (a) of section 30-16 of the general statutes is what you're looking for I believe. Feel free and read the entire thing: https://www.cga.ct.gov/2015/ACT/PA/2015PA-00024-R00SB-00386-PA.htm

On the insta CW is teasing the label of a new Nelson Sauvin/Motueka IPA. Can't wait for this, I've been dying to see what CW can do with Nelson since they opened. Not enough of those beers going around.

Edit: it will be called Talisman

Definitely going tomorrow for cans! A shame I can only get five four packs, gonna be hard choosing with all the great selection they've got right now.

That’s pathetic that we can’t walk out if a CT brewery with even a case of beer.

Wasn’t there another thread that talked about there being a petition brought before the state congress to fix this?

That's right, but if I remember correctly, that part of the bill didn't make it to the final version... or something like that??

Last I knew the recommendation from the committee was that the limit would be increased to one case. Breweries asked to be able to sell kegs and that was nixed. Not sure where the legislation stands though.

Talisman is REAL good. Can't wait until CT changes that law though. What a pain trying to decide between which combo of the five of Talisman, Inundation, Void w/ coffee, Helles and Fest Bier to get. And Counter Weight can only get so much of my money because of that law.
