I've wanted to call you out all week but that connection to NBS was holding me back. I couldn't really tie anything together. Closest that I could come was the Oh and CC releasing Oh Fantastic Then. Super excited to see what's coming this way, especially after seeing those haul hints. What is Fishbox BTW?

 

New way to encourage participation next round?

 

I'd post my ass off for a month straight for a shot at any of the boxes that are sent on here.

 

I was thinking about what would happen if a participant ghosted and a target didn't receive a box from their sender....I picture some extreme porch destruction to the unlucky person who's sender flaked.

 

Happened in the last round of Rookies. Then the Newbies blew up all of the Rookies who had bombed the guy who didn't get a box. It was pretty fucking amazing.

And kind of confusing if you don't know who is a Rookie and who is a Newbie and what those things even mean.

 

I think we should double the minimum oz next round. As a guide for newer ones. I don't think any of us have ever sent under 150oz anyways.

 

And then Rookies who helped with the bombardment were then bombed by Newbies (and possibly invited into the newbie base? Not sure )

 

Haul hint:



The first box (containing 204 oz of beer) is headed toward somebody's porch, allegedly taking it out next Weds. The rest, including swag, food, and mystery beer will be heading out Monday (if I can find the groundhog jerky).

Oh, by the way, a former employee of UPS told me that when they weigh the box and measure it to determine shipping costs, they use whichever parameter gives them the most money. So a fifty pound box that is small is cheaper to ship than a fifty pound box that is larger.
