Not adding anything valuable to the conversation, but I agree Talisman is fantastic. It's literally everything I hoped it would be. The white grape aspect of the Nelson is very much pronounced. It's super delicious. Oh and Ein Helles is killer again, too!

 

I'm loving those fest bier glasses they're pouring the Helles and Fest into. So good.

 

planning on making my first stop to CW on Saturday (around open) on my way from Boston to NYC. From what I’ve read on this thread, seems like can lines are not an everyday event? Just trying to get a sense as to what I should expect. Thanks.

 

No lines to speak of, but if it's busy you just might have to wait a few minutes for a bartender to become available to pay for cans. There's no separate line or anything like that.

 

Can lines are not a thing at CW. As was said before. You may have to wait a few minutes for a bartender to ring you out, but that's it. Its pretty much a stress free experience. One of the reasons its my favorite brewery !

 

No line, so load up! Of course CT being the odd state that it is this means 5 four packs.

Was up over the weekend, helles, fest, talisman all drinking great.

I was there Sunday and concur that all beers there are drinking great.

 

Spiral Architect (green can) and No Hope For The Kids on deck this week for can drops. Haven’t had NHFTK yet but I imagine it’s killer with the mosaic.

 

They keep getting me back in the door!

Looks like CW is getting some new tanks today. The added brewing capacity is always appreciated.

Now that Workhorse is finding its way into regular distro I wonder if Matt is planning on a third addition to the regular lineup or if he is just looking for more room to be creative? I wouldn't mind seeing a DIPA or another IPA on the shelves alongside Headway and Workhorse.

 

I think there was a post on Instagram that Void will be distributed next.

 

Makes sense. I asked my question to their Instagram post and CW replied "both", so I think they are looking for a 3rd distro beer as well as some extra capacity to do other things.

 

They’re doing a good job expanding and not letting it affect production like NEBCO severals years back when we couldn’t find Hag anywhere.

Just hope that as distro expands, that it doesn’t affect their creativity with new beers at the brewery.

 

Their IG story just showed Total Innundation Triple IPA! Damn. I absolutely love Double Innundation. Can’t wait to try this.

The stars have aligned: I have a half-day off tomorrow so you will see my tall self at around 3pm to pick up those beauties!

Might sit on that slumbering behemoth for a few months and then save 1 or 2 for next year, as well. I feel like 10% stouts really improve with a couple months cellaring on them.
