I'll be there Sunday at opening - hoping it lasts. Worse comes to worse, I drown myself in all of the Palatine.

For what it's worth, last year I was able to get a bottle a week after they went on sale. No idea how long they lasted after that and could be a different story this year.

After all that North Carolina is going through, a trip to Suarez is the very least they can do

They have a house down here in Raleigh and it worked out so perfect. While they were home in NY grabbing me some Suarez, friends from the coast could use their house here as refuge.

(And we all say together...) You can never buy enough Suarez!

Made the trip up today from Long Island. Definitely a haul up there but 100% worth it. Mellow vibe at opening, maybe 20 or so people by 1:30. Had a Homespun and Kinda Classic before heading home - both are really great.

Per the advice of others on this thread, I changed my mind at the last minute and got more than I originally planned. After having my first Palantine now, I am very happy I got more. By far the best pils I have ever had, probably the best new beer (for me) in 2018.

Drove 2 1/2 hours up there today for my first visit. Every beer I've had so far has been fantastic, definitely worth the trip.

Workings are earthy and deep-rooted here given a rich, creamy malt presence, and the yeast mechanisms. Notes stretch from freshly roasted cold brew coffee/bean to bitter espresso grinds to just a well-balanced, light incorporation of toasted nuts, cocoa, milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and bready-sweet grains

Opens to more fruity elements: plums, prunes, raisins with hints of leather, burnt wood, and smoke

A palate of Saunter at the source is quite something with a gentle carbonation, a silky clean feel, and force for complexity that’s lightly knit

Dan’s been talking about a Flanders red that I think they brewed awhile ago and is percolating. Could be wrong though

Saunter started popping up on beermenus around NYC. Had some based on the recommendation of others in this thread. Thought it was fantastic. A subtle beer that demands a second, or third glass. Perfect for the season.

Milds are not a style I'm familiar with. Can anyone here chime in on how "true to style" it is? Not that style guidelines are everything, but I can't really think of a point of reference that I'd compare it to off the top of my head.

I got a growler courtesy of @ONovoMexicano last night (thanks man!). Thought it was delicious.

I’m not an expert, but milds I’ve had back in the UK tend to be cask-dispensed and a bit lower in ABV. So a bit punchier and less smooth than what I’m used to, but I think the overall flavour profile was on point.

Hope you can return, and stay longer. I lived in NY's Columbia County until 4 years ago. Besides several excellent breweries, there's a lot of cool stuff to check out: music, art, food, history, scenery.

Hey guys what bars do you consistently see Suarez at in Manhattan? Threes is my go to but I find myself in Midtown East far more often than BK lately.

Shit I didn't even think about this but you're right. I take it that must be a conscious decision. Anyone know the rationale? Listening to the podcast that was posted earlier in this thread, you'd think they'd at least they'd have a soft spot for Blind Tiger

(I have no personal complaint as it seems that 70% of the places that have their beer are all walkable go-to spots for me anyway)

My understanding is Dan’s dad does the deliveries and as you can imagine it is a lot of work and driving. Going into Manhattan just compounds the challenges.
