I did 2 boxes because I knew it was almost 70, but the larger one was almost $100. I figured it would take at least 4 if not 5 flat rate boxes though so same difference. Other than they get there faster

 

Ya i know if I'm shipping that way it's going to cost a minimum of 40. Impressive amount of beer tho

Ok who's up for some beer ****?? Got a box in today from @strohme2 and it has some great stuff!! So the wife called me and said hey the mail lady is here and she has a box of beer for you. I was like ok (usual) she said no it smells like beer she said it came into the post office that way from Florence this morning. She told my wife "We handle this careful at the local offices but the people in between do not give a shit about people stuff"!! That was too funny, so the good news one can lost looks like someone drove something through the side of the box and punctured the can (see below). Everything was bagged and wrapped really well and the trash bag in the box caught all the beer I even got to drink a little from the bag, yes it was flat but hey waste not want not. Let's get to it!!

I had something like that happen to me the last time I shipped to my friend in Key West. I have no idea how the can punctured, since I way over pack. My only theory is that the lost beer was very heavily carbonated, and it might have burst from the shipping process.

There was a puncture hole through the box so somehow something went through it. glad it was only one can I have seen boxes come in pretty beat up this one was pristine other than the big hole though it!!

My haul is in the trunk of my car right now. It is about 50 outside. I'll be done with work at 8pm CDT, and I'm planning on popping my Arkansas beer cherry tonight.

So, just because I've been talking about Prop Day with buddies, I thought I'd give this a try, and see if others have done the same. Anyone else?



1/2 a bottle, 20 minutes in a French press, with 1/2 a cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch - then add the remaining 1/2 bottle to your glass

I'm really surprised by how much cinnamon this imparts on the beer. Very tasty. I decided to order a bag of shredded coconut to give that a try as well. I think I may try this with some Central Waters BA Stout, some Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout, and Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout... whatever else I can find in my cellar. Should be a fun way to empty out some bottles!
