After much customs BS, @TheDoctor box is here. All new beers. Was not all Canadian beers as I expected, a few NH/VT ones as well. 3 local food items. A Peche Mortel glass. BBA Peche Mortel was a big want for years, even though not on my official list. Had the Bourbon/Brandy Baltic from Les Trois Mousquetaires previously; but not the base so another big plus, as it will probably also be amazing! The mystery beer says What Am I? in French so thanks google .

Most people at work know I enjoy good beer, I had a guy ask my to today, "Have you tried the Bud Light Orange? It's awesome!". I'm going to have to take him some beer!

At least in Quebec, cans are the main indicator it isn't terrible syrup. Tourist shops will have bottles and jars, but nobody else. I was shocked the first time I saw, too. It's made by my in-laws.

 

In the name of dragging this thread out a little longer cause it's fun, I'll post my clue answers even though I didn't get called out and a lot of my hints were cop-outs.

Hint #1: At least one of your future beers (or its cap) is in my fridge.

The BBA Péché is only periodically released so it's been chilling in my cellar since the last release.

Hint #2: The vast, vast majority of what you (whoever you are) get from me (whoever I am) will be labeled in French.

All the Canadian beers in the box are Québécoises beers.

Hint #3: You have the same first name as a good friend of mine. You don't live where he does, though.

Hint #4: As far as I can tell from searching your reviewed beers you'll be receiving all beers that are new to you. Possibly also one that is equivalent to "gently used".

He has a metric shit-ton of reviewed beers (actually even a lot from Quebec). The closest to “hads” in the box are variants or non-variants (the DDC and the LTM) of which he has tried their counterpart at one point or another.

Hint #5: You'll be getting your box in the mail. Hopefully... (soon, too)

Hint (#6): You will be getting 3-5 beers in the top 100 for Canada. You have had at least one beer off of said list in your life. I am not sending any Unibroue.

Just an observation. He's had multiple (obviously). A few of Unibroue's beers are in the top 100, and they are also pretty widely-distributed in the US (Sapporo) so they are the most likely ones that people have had.


Hint #7: I was scared when I saw.

At the risk of repeating myself, he has a metric shit-ton of reviewed beers. In the end, though, I imagine I'm a perfect match since QC sends such a tiny amount of beer outside of the province.

Hint #8: I've quoted you a few times in a few days, but in an unusual way.

He has a distinctive, consistent set-up for all of his pictures. I think that it really serves to show the color and clarity of the beers accurately. So, I decided to change my pictures a few times in threads where he's active to resemble his as closely as I could.
