Another Aslin beer. I know there is a story behind it but I'm not aware of the story - I wud never "not vote" but I'm sure there must be something to it. Great beer tho. Cheers

Happy birthday Vann. Mighty Squirrel Brewing Double Dry Hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo 6.5% canned on 9:18. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves a thick layer of film on the sides of the glass sip after sip.[IMG]

Smell is guava, pineapple, tangerine, and a little hint of grapefruit rind. 4

Taste follows tropical all the way, wonderfully balanced with all the flavors balancing one another, really tasty and more pronounced than the nose. 4.5

Mouthfeel is about medium, soft with very gentle carbonation, a little sticky but not dry, and so crazy drinkable. 4.5

Overall a very nice NEIPA, my first time trying this Brewery and this stuff is excellent. Cheers to my friend @Ocalafox I hope you have a great one. 4.25

Splitting this Scratch Batch Boysenberry Gose with my wife. Nice tartness with some puckering at the end that hangs around for awhile on the palate. Pretty decent.

We’ve had Cigar City in Michigan since at least the beginning of summer (maybe?) and I always passed on this one. Thanks to @Roguer for thinking I’d like this in the most recent NBS BIF. Turns out, he was right! [IMG]
Great pale that straddles the line of a juicy beer. Will definitely NOT pass this up again.

This has a sweet creaminess I feel like I shouldn’t like but I do. Not many breweries pull this style off better than Other Half.

Fantastic Baltic porter! Awesome lasting head retention/soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, fudge, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, marshmallow, molasses, licorice, raisin, plums, prune, fig, cherry, berry, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, and herbal hops. Light-moderate herbal/roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/silky/velvety malts; some sticky hops, chalky char/roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/char/tannin dryness, no acrid/astringency. Very clean lagering, minimal yeasty notes. Minimal warmth of 9.5%, with no barrel booze after the finish. Liked this a bit more than the base beer as expected. Mellowed out on hop bitterness from barrel aging, and much silkier/fuller mouthfeel. Very rich malt complexity, perfect bourbon barrel integration, and solid earthy hops/plums presence. Not overly roasty/charred on malts. Amazing spot on style example. 4.23

Fantastic fruited dark sour! Dark ruby/purple/brown color, nice foamy head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, raspberry, cranberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, raisin, plum, fig, apricot, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, bourbon, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, brown sugar, toasted bread, light caramel malt balanced; lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/tangy/carbonated drying; no pucker/astringency. Very smooth, not overly lactic, 6.3%. Outstanding balance of jammy berries, Brett/Bacteria complexity, and dark/bready malts; with nice bourbon barrel presence. This was a blend of 5 different barreled beers then added fruit, and they still nailed it like always! 4.25

[IMG] Ass is kicked from the gym, I need a beer. From @ovaltine , a Bare Hands Double ThaIpa. This one a bit unusual, a hit I didn't pick up on the Double Dry Hopped version, and I'm not cheating I haven't looked it up...yet. But it's spicy, tastes a bit like basil? Being half Italian I can eat it raw. But the spice is terriffic, really sticks the landing. This ones a bit of a sipper which is nice right now, half an eye here, half on the tv. So I've never had a Thai IPA, so I'll be interisting to get a handle on the spice part.
