Damn. This year has been a fast forward year.
Not really into the pumpkin thing, but I’m looking for a fresh bomber of Kern Pumpkin ale.
Liquor Warehouse has haze cans from Revision. Plus Simcoa Revenge bottles. Love their Revenge series.

I usually don't mind an Avery Pump[KY]n or similar. But, yeah, usually don't go out of my way to get those beers.

Some pretty cool things to show up at your local shop this week. Fremont Cowiche Canyon, one of the highest rated pale ales online, arrives Tuesday. So does Field to Ferment Simcoe from their single hop series. Three Weavers Blood Junkie graduates to cans, LA Ale Works has a festbier and a Brut IPA dropping this week and if you can hold it 'til the weekend, El Segundo is doing another day one, this time a colab with Noble Ale Works.

Windsor may still have last 2 BL releases for those interested. He's also been getting some revision cans.

Did see some goodies from his recent SD trip, but I grabbed enough as it was during that trip.

2016 bourbon OE just sitting on the shelf at landmark liquor in HB. Don't mind if I do.

All this recent talk about it has me all intrigued.

A little pricey at 17 dollars, but it's 2 years old so I'll take it. I just restock on 2018 straight from the brewery or steelcraft at 14 per bottle.

Only three bucks more for two years of aging. Not bad. Hell, I'd pay seventeen fidy.

    I haven't!

Just heard about it being a thing. In my defense, I like barleywines, but dont often seek them out.

Then give 2018 a try. This year's batch is very good.

Yeah you need to remedy that, asap, and Bourbon OE is criminally underrated

On the other hand, what a wonderful thing, such a great beer so easily accessible,. Beers like this are the true gems of craft beer. The great beers that fly under the national hype radar,, that locals can just drink and smile.

To put things in perspective, the hype train is not interested in a BA English barley wine with no flavor adjuncts. But for those of us that have followed Smog since its inception, and like this style, we know they just keep getting better year after year at producing this beer. There is no reminiscing about past years, because they keep raising the bar.

This years batch is worth seeking out.

I am personally gifting it to people

The 2016 is fabulous right now. I will be buying more of 16 and 18 asap.

Yeah, Smog is definitely now under the radar. They make fantastic beers, even in styles that aren't in vogue or are in vogue. I'll never forget my first sip of Amarillo Gorilla, as my friends had a monster brew and they said they got to try it fresh off the brite tank. So I went like...three days after when they tapped it. So good.

I’m looking for bombers of Kerns Winter Double IPA. Any sightings in the OC/LA area?

Schlafly pumpkin ale was at TWHB today. I believe this is the first year it hit CA distro. One of the only pumpkin beers I like.
