Welp my dear friends, I have been destroyed! Don't have to worry about @WesMantooth messing up my porch anymore with all those lbs of beer, because @FFFjunkie already burned my whole house down.

Before I get to the box, let me explain how we got here, so you all can get an idea of just how crazy Dan is. Last round he ninja'ed out both his '18 assassin bottles. I thought to myself, "hey that is a nice thing to do, I should send that nice gentleman a box of beer." And so I did.
Now since then Dan has been promising to crush my porch for said small box. Today is the day of reckoning.

Just like to point out here that Dan put the ZD on top to give me a false sense of safety, before he blow my mind. The DL variant, (any DL variant really) was basically my biggest want and he hit that. Never gotten to tick that rare either, another want of course. Then, I mean, what do you say about a man who sends you a rip van winkle bottle and a pappy cigar. I had to pick myself up off the floor after unwrapping that.

All joking and war games aside, this is a crazy generous box Dan and I am greatly appreciative of your kindness. This is miles apart from what I sent you last round. A few thank you beers will be on there way Monday.

Oof. Five boxes today (@LloydDobler hit me again, @Bum4ever collapsed the bench in my entry, @Blackop555 cracked the slab, and @larryi86 smashed the steps and screen door). Absolute chaos. I groaned when I saw what the UPS guy had left - he used a handtruck, because he obviously had to. Fuck, man.



I'm suffering through a cold right now, so every box was a fun exercise in wheezing and coughing and cursing. This BIF may literally be the death of me.

I'll start with @larryi86 's boxes, because he's my BIF sender, and his boxes absolutely blew me away. This was the first item that caught my eye:



ORLY. Curious indeed.



Larry - you literally have no idea how much this delights me. I've never had Scrapple, never even seen it. The jokes bandied about have always made me curious. I'm so psyched to try this. Well done, man - even if in jest? Very well done.

Next item - glassware.



This is my first glass in this particular style. It's beautiful, and I love the color. Thank you, Larry - fantastic choice! And also a new brewery to me.

Onward to beer.



Christ. I just kept opening bottles. I couldn't believe how many bottles Larry managed to stuff in to this box, in addition to the crowlers! Plus, the stickers, and the glassware, and the Scrapple! I was particularly impressed by the sours and coolships. I've only had the pleasure of trying Allagash once or twice, if I recall. I'm really looking forward to those. And Tilquin? Super excited! Minnesota doesn't get a ton of genuine, legit lambic, so I'm always thrilled to see it.

Well done, Larry.

Box number two... the beer just keeps coming.



It just so happens that the first beer to peek out at me from one of the packages was Alien Church. I could have stopped there and been totally happy with this whole BIF experience... obviously, that wasn't everything - there are, by my count, 24 cans there. Of those, I believe I've only had Julius before (and I will never turn it down!).

What an insane couple of boxes. I'm still a bit dazed.

You really caught me by surprise, Larry - I was so fixated on my boxes for Cans Cans, and so anxious about the box I'd sent to @FlintB , that I just didn't expect such an insanely generous bombardment. Thank you so much - I'm really excited to try everything, particularly all of the Tired Hands and the sours... and all of the forty-or-so new ticks. Christ. I'm going to need a couple of sick days, even after I get over this cold.

Bravo @larryi86 - my vote for best box in this BIF goes to Larry, hands down. Points for originality of swag and food item, points for style considerations, points for wish list items, points for sheer quantity of beer - gold star in every category!
