Valkerie Big Swede is right in my wheelhouse- huge on the base malt presence, with just enough of a kick from the roast. It's like every 'dark fruit' is in this thing, too- raisin, date, prune, dried blueberries- backed up with toffee and dark chocolate. It's lean and muscular, too, which I tend to prefer to the big chewy ones- the flavors just seem more clean and distinct. I'm also getting a tiny bit of a twang, too, which is a slight knock, but overall I'd be very happy with it in my rotation alongside Samuel Smith's, if it were available here. Thanks again, James!

 

Just checked in on the UPS tracking and it now says “by the end of the day Monday”.
WTF?! They took that shit Monday. Even I could have been there by now. Probably for less too. Looks like it’s up to USPS to provide the NBS goods. Sorry @Bum4ever Never had this happen before.

Son of a mother fucking bitch! USPS says Tuesday. God damnit! How the fuck does a 2 day priority flat rate box make it to Hawaii and Washington in 2 days, but not CA?? I take that back. I have sent them to California in 2 days before so I onow they can. What the hell is going on? I even diversified like the Wu Tang told me too. Looks like some poor innocent people are going to have to listen to me bitch on Monday.

500 ml bottle, dated 9/10/18, poured into a tulip

A- Black with a two finger mocha head.

S- Vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, oak, coffee. Definitely sweet.

T- Bourbon, vanilla, roasted coffee, chocolate, oak, touch of dark fruits.

M- Smooth, full body.

O- A really nice stout, lots of vanilla and bourbon.
