    Yeah, I go to Jax once or twice a week. It's 30-45 minutes, depending on how far downtown I need to go. Works out well, but Jax doesn't represent the SE beer scene as well as I'd like.

    I really want to make it up to Savannah and Atlanta, but ... the drive .... :stuck_out_tongue:

    I really enjoyed my first bottle of Founders Curmudgeon's Better Half. I think I'd better try another just to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

    Dude, since you were here there last Richmond has opened a number of new breweries. My understanding, despite your reputation, they may let you in.:slight_smile:

    Same thing happened to me today. My dad did say God looks out for the unfortunate and drunks. I qualify on both counts. You must have just gotton lucky! Seriously, when they treat folks like that I am more inclined to return.

    Its funny, I drastically overestimated what I had on my primary debit card. But what little I had was enough to cover the pint I was charged. And I've got food, gas,and the major bills covered. I'll chalk it up to lady luck being on my side.

    Something weird is happening. Just about every beer I had tonight did not taste good. Even this one which I always thought was awesome.

    My wine dirinking friends say my palate is off tonight. My beer drinking friends say my taste buds are just temporarily fu**ed up. Eat some pork rinds and all will be well. Did not work. Perhaps I may just have to become a Budweiser consumer. Someone please reassure me this is temporary.

    Thanks goes to @EMH73 to point out I posted it to the wrong thread. Again. Getting old sucks but better than the alternative.

    Picked this up on the trip to Minneapolis to visit Little O, it’s certainly fresh and fruity, but the dank is missing. Nice, but it could have been more, IMHO.

    A second pour of Nectar from the gods, and a suitably warmed Black Note Stout (2017) from my rapidly depleting beer ‘fridge:



    Hard to beat chasing a delishious Stout (that I bought in Richmond this past summer!) with a chewy Cream Sherry. Cheers gang!
