Halle Berry's pet Octopus: NBS BIF 8

Glad you dug it. I picked a bottle up kind of on a whim for myself early on in the BIF process, and was really pleasantly surprised by what it ended up being... likewise I was expecting a much more coniferous deep woods experience (which I can dig as well, but I found myself really enjoying the way this one approached the spruce) and found a different dimension of it than I'd previously realized. So I figured I'd grab one to send along as well!

 

I really love the base stout here, but the BBADS is on a whole another level. That was my birthday beer for myself this year. One of my biggest regrets was that they didn't release it in time to sneak some in, so I'm really glad that @woemad hooked you up (he's a good dude like that).
That's awesome about the horse as well. I love the serendipitous little syncronicities that present themselves like that.

 

Trying to get a head count for the Saturday, November 3rd share, as the host committee is picking up supplies for Goodie Bags this week.

I know JBowen, CanCon, Larryi86 and NYC Charlie are in.

Speaking for Arthur here, but I think the plan is night time. Daytime will be Tired Hands pregaming for those in town early.

Starting up with this offering sent to me by @strohme2 Short's Brewing Citra Local's a dry hopped lager. Pretty tasty light clean and refreshing, just a hint of bitterness combined with a light sweetness.




Appearance 4 - Pours crystal clear golden color with nice white head that settles to a rocky cap. Spotty lacing.

Aroma 3.75 - Light floral aroma combined with grapefruit hint of light melon and some light cracker.

Taste 3.75 - Initial hit of mild hops quickly followed by biscuit and some very light honey. Quick flash of bitterness that subsides to more floral tastes on the end.

Feel 4 - Light bodied, well carbonated light and clean finish.

Overall 3.85 - Really enjoy the light balance of the bitter citrus and the slightly sweet flavor.
