    im done lurking and finally home from work. longest work week ive had in a while. this hop combo for this batch is nice and smooth, balances the funk real well.

    Taking a break from the usual beer, and music for that matter. I have been anxious to try some of these non marzens that were sent to me. Thanks to @joe1510 for this one. It is hard to come across a good dunkel. Ever harder to come across one this good.
    Prost Brewing/Altfranckishes Dunkel Bier.

    Rich coffee like body in both color and clarity. Minimal beige head leaves a thin ring with one spot of lace. Just one.
    The aroma is deep and muted. Pumpernickel, molasses, hints of rye, hints of coffee.
    It gets better and better with the taste. Complex and robust flavors of roasted grains, dark bread, molasses, a mustiness from the hops and a weak coffee and peppery finish.
    Soft and silky mouth feel. Very delicate. Medium-ish body, lower in carbonation.

    Nothing new here, got a BIF box packed up to ship and that's about it. Review 7500 is tomorrow.

    Beer:

    Incredible IPA! Lasting head retention/thick lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Extremely smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 7.5%. Amazing Citra/Chinook showcase. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Can't wait to try the POG! 4.28

    Great Brut IPA. Nice fluffy head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with some cracker, white bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness with no hop astringency. Very smooth, pretty refreshing, 5.5%. Feels like Chinook/El Dorado? Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; solid pale malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from crisp dryness. Spot on style. 4

    I am sure I will be crying in my beer before the end of the Redskin/Cowboy game. The Redskins will most assuredly try their best to lose.

    Just noticed that I am getting painfully close to 100,000 likes. I pity the poor dude that cast the one that hits 100,000. I am not sure I would want to be known for that!

    There is not a dislike button so I had to hit like. I am sure that my Redskins will do their best to lose. They always do against the Cowboys. Ohter than your unexpainable support of the Cowboys you seem to be a decent human being. No one is perfect.
