Dude, I was watching my Redskins vs the dreaded Cowboys and decided I did not need the heart palpatations so turned it off. So now BA has to put up with me.

Bourbon. Damn, I would love some but got this neurologist appointment and thought it would be a good idea not to go there hungover. But I can be persuaded.

1. NBS.....Lets go for two here. At least.
   Why not my first New Mexico beer?
   La Cumbre Elevated India Pale Ale
   Pours a crystal clear copper color with an off white head of about 3/4" that lasts for a few and leaves spotty lacing. Watching the bubbles rise and the clarity is really a beautiful pour.
   Smell is sweet tangerine, pineapple, lemon oil, pine and some grapefruit. Aroma is powerful and really enjoyable.
   Taste is a light caramel malt base highlighted by sweet citrus, some tropical notes and fine grapefruit and slighty bitter pine.....and it lasts slightly coating the tongue with some oily fresh hop notes. Flavor is bold and full. Yum Yum.
   Feel medium carbonation is spot on and the finish is semi dry with that wonderful slickness.
   Awesome brew. A "midwest" type IPA is what comes to mind. It feels like a cross between Bells Two Hearted and Jai Alai - but not as "tropical" as the latter. Thanks @Dwood1466!

Giving Avery Rumpkin another try. In the past I've found it so sweet, it was as if they filled the bottle with sugar and then poured in whatever amount of beer that the sugar would absorb. This one is much better than the three I had last year, still sweet but not cloying. I like this as well as their Pump[KY]n though it has a paltry 16.9% ABV compared to 18.8% in Pump[KY]n.

 

Stay strong and away from the brown liquors. Your Redskins just had a strip sack for a TD. You might want to watch.

Trying out Half Acres Lager Town Oktoberfest. I really enjoy Half Acres beer in general, usually pretty good quality.

Drank a shitload of Yuengling back in my youth. Yes a long time ago. I still drink my fair share even to this day.
