Bell's Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout 2018

Great news! I had a couple pours Monday but haven't cracked a bottle yet.

 

Any idea when this will hit Chicago?

 

I'm literally wandering into a random Binny's either by my house, or on my way home from work, daily, at this point, just trying to catch a bottle or two. My buddy hyped the shit out of it on me, and now I'm stuck chasing it hard.

 

Someone mentioned in the beer releases thread, mid next week for Binnys.

He gets to work in a windowless basement and everything!

 

It has shown up in several stores across Michigan today.

 

Oakland County?

 

Nothing in chicago yet. Local binnys guy is thinking next week though.

 

No word down south either...

 

Select stores in Genesee and Saginaw County that I know of, plus in Kalamazoo. I can only imagine how fun it will be chasing it in Oakland County having lived there for many years.

 

It's supposed to hit Kent/Ottawa counties (MI) on Monday. Sounding like a one-case limit for most small stores.

 

BA Third coast bottled in 750’s.

 

Man, that's bad news. I do not want a beer that beefy in that format. Weird to see Bells revert and regress like that.

That's still better than the format option I was presented with a couple weeks ago when I visited the brewery. I really enjoyed Port 3rd Coast but couldn't remotely justify a 64oz growler. If they did howlers/crowlers I might've caved but 64oz and having to buy their fancy glass growler was too much even for my weak beer buying willpower.
