So breweries are supposed to cater to beer traders rather than trying to get their beer to as many people as possible?

 

Exactly. This is why this is a cool move by Aslin. Limiting it to 2 cans gets it in the hands of more people.

 

I'm not saying I agree with it, but yes most do. Does everyone need to buy one case of each of Aslins beers because that's what their limits are, of course not, but they do to trade them.

 

They know this is gonna be one of their more popular beer releases. Not sure why they wouldn't just brew 2-3x as much, but I suppose that would be too rational.

 

I don’t really know shit about brewing but maybe scaling up a beer like this isn’t as easy as just doubling or tripling the recipe. So they’d rather not take chances and end up with a beer they aren’t happy with.

 

If it doesnt turn out good then they can just dump more adjuncts in it.

 

Bale was probably one of the best stouts I've ever had, and I had a small pour during a line share

Drinking Glamping right now

Great peanut butter up front, but it has this weird after taste

Anyone else experience this? Had Belly Shirts recently and it almost had this similar "cherry cola" taste to it. Kind of off-putting

 

Yea, I find a lot of the Aslin stouts have some weird off flavors going on. Bale was the only stout that I've had that didn't, and that's probably because the sweetness covered it up. I had a small pour at Snally which I think was 4oz, and it was more than enough.

 

I haven't kept many of their beers for more than a month or so but most of the ones I have 'aged' (3-4 months), definitely did not age very well. I've had some end up with very off-putting flavors which I couldn't drink and others end up very 'chunky' looking.

 

That's exactly what I'm experiencing. Disappointing. I just received these in a trade.

Just canceled my Sloth & Bale trades bc of this.

 

Those 2 should probably be ok as they are fairly recent releases. The other 2 you had were 3-4 months old.

 

Got a can of Bale and it's absolutely insane. Better than Peanut Butter PM Dawn and Miles To Go imho

 

Sloth was released 13 days ago and Bale 6, I think you’re good on those.

 

Glamping is amazing too, think I like it a little more than Bale

 

I keep changing my mind. Drink a Glamping and think it's the best. Drink a bale and think it's the best. Drink sloth...... I like all three. Can't pick a favorite. I just need more.
