It appears we're done with the Trick or Treaters. Time for a horror film and Chained to the Dead.

No work tomorrow so it's time to end the evening with a Bell's Two Hearted, one of my long time favorite IPAs. This is a single hop beer, Centennial, and the aromas/flavors are filled with pine and grapefruit. There's also some nice floral character and an almost fruity lightly sweet malt backbone. Great beer!

Querido Y Perdido from Castia Cerveceria. A 12% Imperial Stout brewed with cinnamon, cocoa nibs and chilies. Super tasty and really thick and creamy.

Opened up one of the oldest beers I’ve got in my house. I’ve had this for at least 4 or 5 years. I’m pretty much getting just the little bit of barrel left, some spice, some oak, some chocolate. Good, not great. You know what...I’m getting this figgy Belgian yeast taste up front now that is pretty damn good.

Tim Curry at his absolute finest.

Peter Steele at his absolute finest.

MF Doom at his absolute weirdest.
    Happy Halloween all!

October has been an incredible beer month for me. My first Tree House, my first Trillium, first Tired Hands, lots of stellar wild ales, and tonight, on the last day of the month, my first Bissell Brothers. Nothing Gold. Didn't expect a whole lot out of this, but man, is this a good beer. A damn fine NEIPA. And the shop across town sells it all the time. Score. If anyone wants to get their hands on some, hit me up in the Pee Ems. Cheers![IMG]

Delicious Berliner. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy mangoes, melon, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, red/green apple, hay, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malt sweetness; light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit/wheat tang on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy wheat; some lactic acid and fruit tang in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness. No puckering sourness. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. A bit sweeter than expected, but it goes down insanely easily. Awesome balance of juicy mangoes, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Amazing summer brew.

Fantastic session IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, mint, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing lingering bitter resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very flavorful and smooth for 4.8%, not overly aggressive. Great hop profile from 10 different hops. Extremely vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice solid malt backbone for the ABV. No residual sweetness at all. One of the best widely available SIPAs for sure. Been buying Stone way more often since they introduced the cans. The price is unbeatable.
