Glad it all arrived, Chris! So I saw a couple days ago you mentioned to @brutalfarce you didn’t need anymore beers as your we’re heading to FL in a week or so, but ‘twas to late for your porch sadly  I have not had the breakfast hero and am curious as to how it fairs against the Skillet as that’s a superb beer IMO. I wanted to throw in a better variety than I did, however, you’ve had most of the goodies I get in regional distro that was available this time of year. As for the UPS notifications, I didn’t want them to alert you far in advance so I didn’t include your email. Looking back, probably should have.

Enjoy the brews and your upcoming trip!

No no, not at all - it was a pleasant surprise, man! Thank you again!

And the variety on this box is GREAT - don't worry about it for a second. I really appreciate it - I know it's hard to hit new ticks for me, but that's hardly that important. If it's a great beer, I'll always be happy to drink it again!

    Thanks again, Blake!

Haha - please, no more beer, at least for like six months. I have a really great trading buddy down in Austin who hits nearly every JK release for me, so I have like 25 sours to get through, if I can ever dig myself out from BIF boxes! :stuck_out_tongue:

It's all in good fun, man - you don't owe me a single thing, and I seriously, honestly prefer it if you spread the love to some of the Rookies! Help them try some new stuff!

Nice @Dragginballs76 ! I'm gonna have to Google yuza juice. Went to Edmunds Oast bistro with the wife last year, didn't realize that was a brewery too. Their tap list was insane. All kinds of good sours that day. Dinner at Spiro was awesome too

haha I'm one of the rookies, and I know it's not owed but I like the vibe of the thank you box especially after @Dragginballs76 was kind enough to pass that onto me

There should be a name for that... something like "pay it forward", but with "beer" in the name...

Whew, there's been a ton of activity on this since it (sorta) ended! Since Funk Factory was previously mentioned a bit in this thread, I figured I'd throw out an offer to proxy/trustee for anyone interested on here for next week's release of Framzwart, Cranberry Meerts, and Broken Dishes. Let me know (either here or PM) if anyone is interested! https://www.brownpapertickets.com/e...Qu1ArWkt_uTGWB30bUEI8TolzzRomloJ8tK1rsOvSLIuc

    Random question:
Does anyone here have access to Gutch from Defiance Brewing in Kansas?

If so, @Mikexw or myself would be interested in trading for a couple of cans so we can complete our style quest!

I'm back in Kansas in two weeks, so I'll give it a look since I can usually find their stuff.

So, one of the beers in the ninja box that @SouthernSips sent me was a mystery beer, which I drank after a full day of yard work yesterday.

It poured an opaque orange color and had a slight pineapple smell, which led me to believe it was an IPA of some sort. I wasn't really expecting an IPA since it was a 12 ounce can, but apparently some breweries still use them. The taste had some pineapple but a bitter/spicy bite to the end of it. Unwrapping it and I saw that it was Ole Buddy by Chandleur Island Brewing, canned on 10/22/18.

Overall, it was a decent beer. I've been having troubles with NEIPAs recently, though, where there's a lot of spiciness coming through, which had only happened once before. I'm not sure if it's a certain type of hops or the style itself. Either way, it's rather frustrating since I don't feel that I'm missing out on some well-regarded beers that have been sent to me recently. Not really sure what I can do about it except keep trying them and hopefully it goes away.

Anyway, thanks again, James. I enjoyed trying this beer and love the can art.

Are we still waiting on a box or did I miss seeing the post? There have been so many ninjas. I'm not sure what's what!
