I think we get two 750s. So $120 value! Looking back through my receipts, all 375s are indicated in the descriptions. 750s are not. So unless specified, it's always 750s.

$12.99 for 375 ml of the lemon meringue sour? Getting pricey. Even the 375 ml of So Happens it's Tuesday was cheaper and almost twice the ABV.

Tried batch 1 Sourrento on Friday and still holding up with vanilla flavor but definietly not as much.

Weird. My receipt only shows one Bourgogne Noir. But I’m RS, so maybe that’s why?! Idk

Untappd shows the full wrap on the label that includes the Terreux branding.

Was at SMM, can confirm it's a sour blended with pinot, no carb. It's quite tasty.

I think I prefer Yount to Elizabeth Rutherford but I didn't have the two side by side and I haven't had Yount since January.

The Key Lime Pie sour I thought was excellent.

Churrosity '18 is available as well even though it hasn't been allocated yet

Is your Elizabeth opinion based on things you don't like about the beer, or things you recall liking more about Yount?

Oh, and how intense is sourness of Bourgogne?

A little bit of both. With Yount, I remember thinking "Hey I'm drinking a really nice wine" and then I tasted Black Tuesday on the finish. I didn't get that same feeling with Elizabeth... it didn't seem like it had that complexity and maybe I don't like the Rutherford grapes as much as the Yount grapes. Full disclosure: I'm no wine expert but I expected to hate Yount.

Not too bad. Not even close to paint-peeling vinegar sour.

I stopped by SMM for just a single taster, and have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised by American Copper. The base beer still isn't a quad--no Belgian yeast character present at all--but the whole beer comes together really well. And this is coming from someone who has hated every apple brandy barrel aged beer I've had before now.

    How similar to Westwood?

Not super similar. I did not particularly enjoy West Wood, as I thought the barrel booziness was too dominant, making the beer a bit unbalanced as a whole. American Copper was really just a complete, balanced drinking experience (that they shouldn't describe as a quad).

Sorry, I was not specific. I was talking about Elizabeth Rutherford.

So, I still have showing this for outstanding HS stuff:

    6. Spontanaheim (a collaboration with Jester King featuring grapes in spontaneously fermented beer)

What ever happened to this one?

Apologies on timing, drinking and dealing with a 4 month old has it priorities.

Anyways, here's my smm notes (nothing special like xul)
    • Churrosity: after trying this from last year prior to barrels, it tastes much better. Assuming the barrels helped tone down the cinnamon (which for me it did) gave off more a sweet sugary churro stout as I expected. Would I do a whole bottle? No. If this gets canned which I think it will, it will definitely sell out for sure. 4.25/5
    • Meringuey my bell: absolutely sour with no flavors of the ingredients as labeled except the lime. Enough of these key lime beers, no one really likes them and it's a waste of time. Didn't even finish taster. 3/5
    • American Copper: no Belgian flavors in this for me whatsoever. There was a lot of barrel presence from the apple brandy so if you like ab then this is definitely worth drinking. 4.25/5
    • Bourgogne Noir: well goddammit we got another wine hybrid beer that tastes exactly like it is! I love pinot noir so this pretty much hits the head on what you'd want. Unfortunately I couldn't justify the $40 for this. Respect the experiments but if I want wine, I'll buy wine. 4.75/5
    • Elizabeth Rutherford: the hoarder beer wine for guys who want to buy a $60 bottle of beer and compare it to Costco red wine and shock the world. The beer is subtle and invokes a nice red cab aspect. I prefer Yount as ell compared to Rutherford but it was nice to try. 4.25/5

It's on the 2019 Hoarder's list now so I think it's not ready and got delayed. We should still get something as a replacement this year though.
