Correct. Welcome to the world of stores not listening. Slightly immoral, but I bit at the chance since it'll clearly be gone by release date in CT. Some NY stores seem to have had a similar approach.

I guess I'm more shocked bottles are being sold pre-11/11 (e.g. the brewery release) … W/E - knowing S.K.I. it'll arrive in NYC in time for my 80th birthday…

 

I did find that incredibly crazy! A bottles already been reviewed a week ago though lol....

Yes, it's just one bottle of KBS, however, this particular bottle was obtained yesterday at Martha's Vineyard in Grand Rapids, after they posted on their Facebook wall that they found some KBS in their stock that they didn't know was there, and that they're fairly certain it's from the 2011 batch. $10 for the bottle. Now, I've heard good and shady things about Martha's Vineyard, so I'm not certain that this really was a "Oh whoops! Hey guys, look what we found here that we had no idea about!" or if it was a "Hey, let's hoard a case of this stuff for a year or so and mark it up a little more when we 'accidentally' find it." I'm also not able to 100% verify if this is indeed a 2011 batch bottle, as the bottled by date seems to have faded off or I'm completely blind.

Regardless, I was able to purchase a bottle of KBS completely out of season that's probably 2011 batch for $10. Even if it was 2012 batch, I'd still be satisfied with my purchase.

 

IIRC, the vintage is also casted into the bottom of the glass under the label. 2 numbers. "11" for 2011, "12" for 2012. I could be mistaken though.

Umm, if that's the case, the two numbers on the glass are "02 10". Are you telling me this is actually 2010's batch? If so, holy shit.
